Things I like:

- The naval combat is very fun IMO
- The ship customization is expansive but has room to grow
- I think they did a great job modifying the world's geography for boat accessibility
- The stealth kills are satisfying (but extremely tedious)
- The new weapons and armor
- The new hairstyle

Things I wish they'd improve:

- The stealth mechanic seems pointless. The only missions I've done have been to clear bandit camps and the only reason I do them is because (for some reason) your troops don't get ANY experience for clearing it themselves. I wish there was more of a reward for taking the time to infiltrate a camp or that you'd at least have the option to clear it with them
- The tutorial missions are not fun. There are some special cases, but most of the time the failures felt arbitrary and my experience was just frustrating.
- I wish they'd fix the skill tree's UI to actually indicate which attributes the new skills are related to. Literally for the first 5 days I was playing I thought they were all linked to INT, but maybe I'm just dumb

All in all, I think they have some good concepts and I appreciate how many patches they've pushed out but I wish they'd waited so it didn't feel half-baked.
I do think the DLC is worth buying, but it's overprice for the current state and I've lost some respect for TaleWorlds.

I played the original smite for 12 years with my friends and I am so happy with the improvements they've made!
Their animation quality has seriously jumped with the new engine and the UI is finally as clean as I've wanted it to be. I am also in love with the simplified system for strength/intelligence that's allowed other item aspects to shine and improves the experience for new players.
I'm really excited to see where they go from here and how new gods are implemented!

Please nerf zeus

Would you like to hear a story of pain and suffering? Of anguish and terror? Of desparation and disgust? Then either get super into Dark Souls and ♥♥♥♥♥♥' git gud or go play some game where they tell you the story up front instead of making you work through learning lore while you play the cheese-grater-to-face Simulator.

Dark Souls is more developed than just making you work to beat it because it makes you work to love it, it will make you question whether or not your devotion is well placed time and time again but every single time that question will be answered with a resounding "holy ♥♥♥♥ yes" as you watch the Iron Golem tumble off a castle or Gwynn eat your long iron ♥♥♥♥-for-a-sword estoc to his stupid face after you spent the past 3 hours wood-grain-ring-flipping through the depths to the abyss to his little- *deep breath* I digress.

Dark Souls is good game, you kill with weapon, much fun, do not hit penis against knife, you win after time

Early Access Review
First of all I would like to say that this game has been amazing to play and I can see it going far as an RTS with all the traction it's getting right now and all the potential for improvement I think it has. So with that being said I'll go ahead and say what exactly I enjoy and dislike about the game and then offer up some of my own ideas on how it could improve.

Pros: Graphics are amazing to look at, I personally enjoy the civilizationesque panel gameplay, the specific features to the clans are all diverse and interesting, it creates a kind of balancing act between the resources (forces micromanagement), it's good to see the developers looking at multiplayer features and gameplay aspects at the same time.

Cons: I've had an issue where the game has a lack of memory error and crashes, I feel as though some of the victory types are easier than others which makes it harder to do the domination and objective victories because of how balancing between clans is right now (I've actually only been enabling those two victories for a few games to make it take longer for fun), as was said in another review: weather issues do seem to get repetitive after a while.

Out of my cons the memory issue is definitely related to early access and I'm sure the balancing problems right now will be improved in the future so please do not think about those too much if you are considering this game and read my review.

As for improvements I would like to see I want to say that for a few months I've been reading up on viking culture and learning more about their history so some of it is related to that.

1. The wolf clan at the moment has berserkers in their arsenal as their warchief's replacement. Berserkers are actually connected to bears and means "bear warrior" so it's a little arbitrary to put them in the wolf's clan. As an alternate the berserkers could become ulfhednar "wolf warriors" to be more accurate (however I do understand the name is less appealing to an audience and much less interesting). So instead maybe it would be cool to see a taming feature implemented between the wolf clan and wolves.

2. I feel like the map is a little flat in how you traverse it so I just thought I'd offer up an idea for the ability to climb mountains with a recruitable war unit that could climb up and down them (maybe on a cooldown) to make it more interesting for domination victories.

3. The way viking ships were built allowed them to not only go through shallow waters and onto shore with a shallow-draft hull but also for the mast to be removed and for the ships to be carried, flipped, then used as shelter. I think this could be a really interesting colonizing method for lategame similar to the mercenaries that ravens can hire right now.

4. I assume this is already on the way but I figure I'll mention it anyway that a religious feature to the game would be awesome to see with thor worshipers using thunder while odin worshipers have improved war aspects. But like I said I could easily see this being something they add in the future.

I don't know how much people will agree or disagree with me on these ideas but I reeeally hope this review doesn't get lost in the oocean and that the developers have a chance to see some of what I've said (especially the part about berserkers). All in all I highly recommend the game and see it becoming much more popular than it already is in the future.
