Early Access Review
NOTE: This is my review after my first day of playing. I got it for free, but have decided to purchase it for myself.

After hearing all about the dreadful launch and keeping a close eye on the updates, I finally decided to give it a try during the free weekend after Reanimation's release. I was VERY skeptical, as I think a lot of people were. So what do I think?

It's very fun.

It has issues. Performance could be better. Gunplay can feel inconsistent sometimes. And character progression (not profile progression) feels pointless. With how difficult the game is, you'd be lucky if you could survive 1 or even 2 rounds with them.

But, it's very fun. The recent update has breathed a ton of new life into the combat system (kicking is sooo satisfying) and it's designed in a way where teamwork feels encouraged rather than forced. Seriously, even having one other person along for the ride feels great and almost every round I've joined has featured at least one dramatic/cinematic moment because of it.

If you think your PC can run it (at least 30-40 frames) give it a shot. If you were a fan of the original NMRiH, or team-based survival-shooter games in general, I think there's a lot more you can get out of this than you think.

Okay. So I downloded this game expecting it to be a customize-a-ship-and-then-kill-people type game. BOY HOW WAS I WRONG.

Istrolid is a Spaceship building simulator where you create spaceships in a customization menu, set up different spaceship troop setups, and then fight against an AI, 1 person, or multiple people on online servers in a king of the hill type arena with randomely generated maps every time.

With each ship you have to manage things like energy, energy consumption, speed, turning speed, and more while staying under a budget maximum of 1000 per ship. One unique feature I thought was cool was that the parts you use are completely free, but it only costs you when you go into battle. The more money spent, the stronger and more useful it (Likely) is, but it will eat up cash faster.

If you dont want to practice with another player, then there are tons of bots to fight against each with a different tactic (Mine being attaching bombs to fast ships and then spawning 50 of them since they are so cheap to buy).

Another thing, this game is free. Not free to play, FREE. As in no microtransactions.

All I can say is if your into massive customization or RTS's, this might be the game for you.
