This was a pretty good buy if you like games where you make your own music using very simple controls, and has a quirky little storyline for you to follow along; however, if you're looking for something with a lot of game content, at £1.99 this isn't for you.

It might only be 20 minutes long but it's far beyond what I expected from a free to play game. Despite being a short story, it manages to be intriguing and funny, and Simon Amstell does a great job as the only 'voiced' character.

Some of the other reviews say there's no replay value, but there certainly is if you want to hunt down all the achievements (there are six, and unless you're super organised, they should take you at least three playthroughs to get them all).

I won't say any more because I don't want to ruin this amazing concept for people who haven't played yet, but basically, it's free and you have nothing to lose.

This is a great music / rhythm game, not because the music is good (although it is), but because it's crucial to the gameplay rather than a nice extra. It's also just the right amount of challenging for me, but if you want to ramp up the pressure, there's an all-or-nothing version after the normal levels which is very hard indeed. But even if you don't want to give them a go, this game is worth it for the experience alone - wear headphones.

Chroma Squad is an entertaining game in which you 'run' a group of tacky TV superheroes. While it gives you plenty of autonomy to make your own decisions with regards to costumes, weapons, and plotlines, there's also a genuinely gripping yet light-hearted story throughout which keeps you coming back for more.

I like it enough that I'll probably get it again when it comes out on consoles next year, but I wasn't so sure about the £10.99 price tag; I ended up waiting until it was on sale, which happens fairly often.

If you excuse the semi-frequent crashing (easy to do if you set it to autosave every minute, so you never lose any progress), this is a rail tycoon game that has aged remarkably well. It's easy to set your own balance between building for profit and for fun, and the interface is really simple to use. You can also buy into and build up industries across each map and there are plenty of graphs and statistics handy for you to keep a close eye on your progress. The graphics still work well even in full screen, and the sound is great.

It's just a shame that this game has never been updated. I think a version of this with better graphics, online multiplayer, and mods through Steam Workshop (for extra maps, engines, and industries) would do really well - it has the world renowned Sid Meier name on it, after all.
