tf kind of game in 2024 wants you to install a browser "toolbar" on first launch?

*runs away screaming*

If you aren't already invested in this game, don't do it. ~120 hour SLOG of a quest chain just to get to the point where you aren't impeding any progress of your friends you have by not being able to join them in Steel Path missions.

You heard me right, on average it takes one hundred and twenty hours JUST to finish the story - and until you do, you are locked out of joining any "veterans" of the game doing what they want/need.

Did I mention its ~120 hours of (mostly) SOLO content?

Seriously. Don't bother. Give this a hard pass until at bare minimum they:

1. make ALL cutscenes skippable.
2. make story missions optional (especially the ones where you have to play as NPCs, I didn't sign up to play an overpowered space ninja only to RP walk around as a weak NPC).
3. introduce a story skip.

Optimally, they'd cut down the intro questline/story requirement to ~10-20 hours TOPS, but its literally 5-10x that amount.

Sure I can devote a weekend or two of gaming to catch up to my friends, but asking for months? screw that.

Hell. I'd even pay quite a bit of money just to skip the story.

Played for a few hours, was quite impressed with how intuitive (similar to other games in the genre/easy to start) and deep (enough new mechanics/twists to really make you think and have a good time) the game feels. Easily a game I could see pouring many many hours into if roguelike deckbuilder games are your thing.

Communicated a little bit with the dev, they seem to have their head on straight and are quite interested in putting out a solid product & listening to (sane) feedback.

TLDR: Game is good, Dev is good, Worth diving into.
