EDIT: No longer works in Proton after recent update.

Latest Proton Experimental now runs the game. On Steam Deck, I suggest:
- all the settings to low
- min dynamic resolution to 50% (doing 1280x720 can't hurt either)
- Also clamp the FPS to 30FPS in the overlay.

Disabling the mirror at race start should allow most tracks to maintain a stable 30 FPS.

Throughout my ARCA season, only Watkins Glen was problematic for FPS.

It doesn't look particularly good, but it's perfectly playable with these settings. There may be some other engine.ini tweaks that could improve things but I haven't tested those yet.

Cars don't handle realistically. Online racing is a disaster with awful racing standards. VR looks awful and the mirrors are useless. Online servers crash all the time. Devs are rude and will mock you in the public Le Mans Ultimate discord.

Also imagine buying Madden 26 and getting the teams and schedule from 2023 because that's what LMU is offering. Full version released in 2025 and it doesn't contain most of the cars or tracks used in the 2025 season.

Basic features like custom liveries for offline racing requires a paid subscription costing nearly $100 USD per year!

And now they're already selling more and more DLC before finishing features that were supposed to ship with the 1.0 release of the game. Career mode? At this point is likely to also be its own paid DLC.

Invasive and inevitably exploitable kernel anticheat breaks the game that worked really well on Steam Deck. Would refund but it was a gift copy and Steam Support directs you to EA who direct you right back to Steam support.

EA proving why of all the gaming companies out there, they're the one that deserves to go bankrupt.

Completely unplayable for me now and just rot in my steam library now.

Overpriced for its quality. Inevitable that the exact same asset will be shipped with AC2 and be paid for again.

Don't buy this. MSG has laid off the entire development team and is on a path to bankruptcy. This game won't get any further updates and supporting MSG just further prolongs their existence as a leech on the industry with multiple games with positive outlooks (Kartkraft, rF2) left destroyed in their wake.

Game is good. Punched someone so hard they lost a million yen. Would recommend.
