They make hoyo look generous. Imagine having 3 limited time banners and 3 limited time weapons up at once. Treating Global release like a piggy bank and shoving non-stop "deals" and popup advertisements in your face.

This game could and probably will be good, it's early game is very polished but it falls off massively in the mid game. Stop listening to the "hype" people about it being better than AAA...

Buy it for 25% off on launch if you want, or don't and just wishlist it for a few years while it gets updated and polished.

Short answer, I found the game enjoyable and worth playing. But once I unlocked the final herb and potions it was immediately dead.

This game does a lot of things right for a $20 life sim, but you're barely a doctor/chemist. Potion making seems to be a side project compared to resource gatherer.

Probably my number 1 complaint.. you need more patients. Getting 1 sick person every 2-3 days is just unreasonable. There was a "mass outbreak" once where 5 people got sick, that should be constant. How are you supposed to even fail a single patient if you're just like "oh I need 2 potions for this 1 guy, I have 4 days to cure him and it takes me all of 30 seconds because I have a million mats due to all the required gathering you've forced down my throat".

I get it, you can't just take all the NPCs out of commission to be patients, so add generic sick traveling NPCs or something. The fact that there's an achievement for failing 1 patient, and then another for failing like 5 or something. Literally impossible unless you spam yourself to sleep for like 3 weeks.

It's cute, it's as advertised (A 2003 gameboy advance game reskinned) and that's about all that's good.

TL;DR- Game starts off cute and enjoyable then quickly becomes horrendously painful and boring compared to Stardew/portia and others, clearly an overpriced 2003 nostalgia scam. Gives me some hope that a new 2020+ game could actually be good. But not worth $50

First off, if you buy this for $50 you're in for a very bad time, if you manage to get this for $10-20 maybe you can justify it.
Me, I couldn't I gave it an honest attempt but it's just boring and you can easily see the lack of current Quality of Life that is needed in games like this.

The big flags:
1) Farming/Crops - are your biggest money maker however even if you upgrade your tools your stamina depletes at the same rate as if you just watered one by one. Another thing there's no automatic watering unless you use the Nature Sprites (we'll get into that soon). Stamina can be addressed here, there's a very annoying little cutscene that plays every single time your stamina hits 50%/25%/10%/0% even when you refill it.. you see it again... and again...and again
2) Nature Sprites - This is your hired help along the farm, I say hired help because you have to get them to 3/10 hearts via gifts and then every time you ask for their help they lose hearts unless you keep gifting them. Plus they actually start off VERY BAD at their jobs so you have to play minigames to make them better. Which doesn't sound bad at first until you realize that you make very minimal progress each minigame and that minigame only works on that 1 sprite out of the like 7 that there are.
3) The mines: The mines are complete ♥♥♥♥, you progress by breaking rocks for ore and then hoeing the ground to uncover a ladder. The problem is you deplete your stamina so fast that you need to leave and enter the hotsprings up top just to recover it and upon entering the mine your progress is reset back to floor zero. If you actually want to make any real progress you have to cheat/abuse the Save/Load system since ladder locations are locked upon entering the mine. So what you need to do is Enter > save > dig for ladder > reload the game > go straight to ladder spot> go down a floor> save > repeat.... just awful gameplay design to be blunt good enough for 2003 but doesn't need to exist now.

those are just 3 big flags that I saw within 7hrs of gameplay, Maybe I'm off the mark here, maybe there's things I don't know that might make the game better/more enjoyable. But after that amount of time I can't see the progress at all in this game, it's just simply outdated. (still very visually appealing though I will definitely give it that)

First off, 7/10, only because you get your monies worth in a game this cheap.

Game starts off very fun and engaging, but over time the game gets slower, and slower, and even slower still until eventually you're just sleeping the days by because there's nothing else to do really. You only get 1 crafting quest from the guild, the grind is pointless once you're on autopilot mode. And the dungeons feel horrendously out of place in this game. By the end of the game quests are so infrequent that you literally have to twiddle your thumbs (or sleep) weeks away at a time just to get a small quest that lets you progress with the story. Also minor pet peeve but the dialogue is just horribly off sometimes and it's very jarring to read one thing but the NPC's say something entirely different or just wrong.

Also this isn't a Stardew clone, it's barely even a farming sim at all. I'd say it's a builder gatherer game that's very much story driven. Would recommend watching a couple youtube videos on it before you purchase, just to make sure you REALLY know what you're buying.
