Pretty much the only way to play the vast majority of mods for Terraria, so the only real questions are: are there any mods worth playing, and how is the service itself?

For the first: Yes. Have been chewing through Calamity with a mate, and that's been a blast - practically its own game/very large expansion. Have barely scratched the surface of the other content mods available, but the other popular ones seem to be of similar quality, if smaller in scope.

For the second: Works impressively well. Doesn't just load the mods, but provides an interface for browsing and downloading them, which is infinitely more convenient than downloading and extracting mods from all over the place. Only gripe is how quiet the devs have been regarding progress on support for 1.4, but beggars can't be choosers.

Early Access Review
One of the most punishing and least user-friendly games I've played recently.

If you're a fan of roguelikes like I am, you might be thinking, "that sounds like my sort of game"

Well, it is.

in terms of cost to content ratio this is probably the most value game on steam

oh also it's one of the greatest sandbox games of all time

oh also it's multiplayer and waaaaaaayy easier to connect peer to peer than say a game like Minecraft

oh also there's a giant modding community and an upcoming final update keeping the game alive

so the question is: why isn't terraria in your library yet?
