Ark Raiders is a game I thought I would never touch.

I usually avoid PvP entirely. I am a pure PvE player because of how toxic things can get and how it can even make me behave. But I decided to give this a try.

It completely surpassed my expectations.

Solo mode is something genuinely unique. Most encounters are surprisingly friendly and even wholesome, but the tension is always there. You never know if the next person will wave, trade, or shoot you in the back while you are looting. Every encounter tells its own story. Duos and Trios on the other hand feel like the wild west. I tried it once and I am staying far away from that. The solo community has been great so far and I hope it stays that way.
The robots are a real threat and progression feels rewarding.

It runs smoothly, looks incredible, and the atmosphere and sound design pull you in.

I usually do not like talking to strangers online, but this game changed that. The awkward interactions, tense standoffs, unexpected alliances and sudden betrayals turn each run into a fresh little narrative you remember.

If you are PvP shy or skeptical about extraction shooters, I genuinely recommend giving this a go.

Short and sweet. Finished it quite quickly. My only wish or complaint is that it's a bit TOO short? It was fun though, so wanting more isn't the worst place to be.

Pros: Optimised well, stable servers, original class system, fun game play.
Cons: Open weapons as the default, no server browser & screaming girls everywhere.

8/10

The summary of my experience after close to 160 hours of gameplay is this:

It's like you spent a fortune on a Lamborghini and got it without wheels or an engine. But because of the pure power of cope, your experience with their previous titles, and how much you've already invested in it, your best response is "ok" when they tell you that you "just need to push it for it to work".

No, CAPCOM. This is not ok. The game looks horrible. Despite that, it runs like a wet noodle, and the gameplay just isn't like it used to be. Get better.

Honestly, this is one of the best games that's out there to this day. Graphically, it's stunning despite all the ray-tracing craze these days. It looks so much better than so many games that are out in 2025 despite being released in 2019.

Story-wise, it's the cream of the crop, I've forgotten what good writing was after experiencing so many slops and thought it was me. But no, I just haven't experienced something amazing in a very long time.

This is a game you don't want to sleep on. I left it on the side for awhile, but I am so glad I managed to make the time to experience it. a 10/10 game.
