The game isn't awful, but it gets repetitive quickly. There aren't many guns, and those that do exist don't have much variety (plus, some are just objectively better than others, and it's not really worth branching out). Controls are fine, nothing new, but the dodge i-frames feel a little off at times.

If the game is on sale, it's maybe worth giving a try, but it's probably not worth the $12 price tag. The achievements are also a pain, if you're an achievement hunter. Oh well.

As someone who has struggled with many mental health issues, this game hit me hard in the best way possible. While I don't have schizophrenia, my experiences with depression and an unidentified mood disorder gave me many parallel experiences to what I saw.

The game is tough to get through. Especially so if you can relate to any of it.

But I also feel that it's one of the most meaningful, if not the most meaningful game--or story, or VN, whatever you really want to call it, really--I've ever played. There is nothing sugarcoated in it, and that's beautiful (in a kind of depressing way).

The story hit me where it hurt in the same way pills can taste bitter and make you want to throw up if you keep them in your mouth for too long. Unpleasant, perhaps enough so to make you want to vomit, but you get something out of it. I cried even when getting the good ending.

Don't give up. Don't let the voices--hallucinatory or just the one in the back of your head--win. It can be difficult to continue on living, but it's worth it. If nothing else, for games like these c:

And also friends, or family, or pets, or some kind of vague hope that things will eventually, just maybe, get a little bit better. You probably won't have them all, but even one is worth holding on to. So get some food and water, listen to a good audiobook or some music, play some games, and take a breather. Anything to find a reason. ❤

Super cool demo, there's a lot offered and you can get a lot of enjoyment out of the game for its price of ZERO (0!) dollars!

I had a lot of fun messing around and making paintings for friends.
I wish it had drips with the spray cans though! This is a mechanic I felt was lacking a bit from a game that prides itself so much on realistic painting.
