This one time i knew a kid, let's call him Ripper for the sake of this story. Ripper was a pepperoni boy, every morning he would go to his fridge and look for pepperoni. If no pepperoni was present, he would go to the pepperoni store to get pepperoni.

One day, tragedy struck and the local pepperoni factory went under. Without a daily dose of pepperoni, the boy could not live on, thus he had to find something to replace his daily pepperoni intake. This is why Ripper is now a salami boy.
