After years of playing the Halo franchise, this is the refresh 343 needs BUT, there are more cons than pros. The game needs to have their melee system fixed and the monetization of items is unreal. I understand that the game is free to play but, I would have been perfectly fine paying a full price tag for the title. The battle pass rewards that you receive from grinding out challenges is underwhelming and you will find yourself purposely throwing the game or ignoring the objective completely to finish your current challenges rather than enjoying the multiplayer experience. The amount of grenade spam and whiffed melee attacks are frustrating and the power weapons have a big learning curve from the other Halo titles. The ranked playlist is better and you will find yourself enjoying it more than quick play. Overall, the game is still in beta and there is a lot of tweaks that need to be addressed. Hopefully 343 will fix this over time and will make sure that they don't ruin the franchise by turning into it's cash cow.. 6/10
