I was trying to get back into the game recently during the deep burn event and it was pretty fun, don't get me wrong I quite enjoy the gameplay so this isn't to say you can't enjoy it or shouldn't play, but my game crashed at the end of the event and I lost most of the items I grinded for and the devs basically told me I was lying about ever having them to begin with despite having screenshots and waiting over a month to even talk to them about the issue.

I think I would be less upset if it hadn't taken them so long to handle the issue, but the whole process was very drawn out and the conclusion especially frustrating. Just be wary that you may not get your items back if things fail on their side because they won't take responsibility for it in any way whatsoever. I guess we're just expected to record our sessions if we are clearing pages of their event catalogues, but I wouldn't be surprised if they disregard that evidence as well.

Enjoy the game, just know you can get screwed out of hours of your time.

I am so glad I could get this game the moment it dropped.
It has been everything and more than what I could've asked for after seeing the first trailer.
The visuals... Creature design? (WOW. Those creatures.) Environmental Design? The way you move through the world? Cinematography? The dialogue? THE VOICE ACTING!!!! It's all SO good! And the MUSIC, WOW.. This has to be the first game I've ever been so ecstatic to have the soundtrack for. Fun. Haunting. Beautiful. I love it.

I feel like the fighting is challenging enough to see you die a few times, but not so hard that it's frustrating or takes up a lot of your time. It's pretty fun! The boss encounters are all so different and the way they executed them.. Woof.. Did I mention I love the music? That's such a huge part of all of this.

JUST ARGH. I could go on forever. This game is beautiful. I'm so happy to be going through a story like this that really hits home in A LOT of ways. I can't recommend it enough.
I hope everyone gets the chance to love this game like it deserves.

The art is beautiful and haunting - I love the style so damn much. Just, wow. Such a creepy atmosphere from the moment you wake up and I truly love the execution of how you speak to mom.

Alright, well, we had to play the DLC right after finishing the base game, so here we are!
I gotta say I am so happy I played this after and not before.

It was nice to take out my disdain for Matt Kearny through my father, as if he knew from the start that Matt was... Well.. Matt.

That said, this was such a delight. Getting to know the townsfolk a little more intimately and learning a bit better how they all feel about their wonderful little town and the other people within it. I loved seeing how this whole town was its own big family. I loved the credits. A perfect way to wrap up the whole story.

I could gush about this game quite a bit tbh. I'm so glad I picked it up when I did. PERFECT season to have found it and I really think the length of it was perfect. Not too long but long enough to make you fall in love.

Honestly, I loved this game. Found it randomly looking through some games showcase and tried out the demo.
The demo is what sucked me in. Perfect length to get me invested and as soon as it ended I picked this up.

I HAD to see where the relationships would go with folks, and I personally enjoy the monotony of driving around delivering things to people. I enjoyed the dialogue between all the characters (I can't stand you, Matt Kearny.) and how you really get to know and enjoy everyones different personalities. They truly do draw you in to wanting to move back home.

I wish I could've thrown my life away to stay with either of the two love interests. I got so invested.. but dangit, I LEFT THIS TOWN FOR A REASON!

Anywho, this was a beautiful little story to get into over the weekend and I'm so glad I did. I look forward to playing the Seasons Greetings DLC so I can enjoy a little more story.

I hardly have complaints about the game. I think a little more polish with how movement feels both with driving (its a bit fast, I wish I could change gears to go a little slower.. But BOY do I love whipping my van around a corner, haha.) and walking around, would be much welcome, but I don't expect that and it doesn't ruin the game by any means, for me.

I wish I could dialogue further with characters to get to know them better, but again, that's just extra stuff that I'd want to do in a game that doesn't need it. I really loved this.

This game was so beautiful in every way. The story. The animated scenes. The voice acting, while minimal, carried so much emotion. The art - Both the character/creature design and environments were immaculate and breathtaking. I feel like you could truly feel the weight of every situation with how they executed all the shots. The sound design and music. (Thank you Berlinist for another heart-wrenching soundtrack.) The platforming and fighting was so much fun and not too hard but challenging enough to make you think a bit in some areas. I could go on.

Everything just hit so perfectly.... Thank you for this beautiful piece of art.

I blew up a giant goblin wearing wooden planks for armor and he dropped a 42" LCD TV while his dog dropped an accompanying stereo system.

I fully intend to build my empire off the backs of these goblins theater systems.
And i'll be damned if I don't use their body parts to cook Michelin star food while I do it.

While the pacing for this game can seem slow at times especially once there's more urgency to do things, I felt like this was a beautiful piece of art. A story that truly evokes emotion especially after investing what time we put into it. I loved the relationships between Talma and her family and those she knows. I really got invested in their whole stories and feelings.

So happy I picked the game up and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good story to play in a day. This game is definitely going to stick with me. Beautiful and heartbreaking.
