Literally unplayable.

The controls are disgusting.

Not only does this not hold up it's actually very bad for 2005 video game standards.

I am fighting the controls more than the enemies which leads to a frustrating unplayable experience.

The remake tries to emulate this game too much and suffers from many of the same issues.

Resident evil games are poorly designed. ALL. OF. THEM.

Not a single one feels fun to play. You guys are living in a nostalgia filled delusion if you think this game series has acceptable controls and game design.

The game was going great. It's the only one in the series that gave me that feeling then it crashed and burned very quickly.

I hated Re2 and Re4. People claim you'll like one or the other but the core gameplay loops in these games just aren't satisfying.

Re7 was fantastic at the start. Gave me the creeps, It was tense and scary.

The second i left that first house the game took a nosedive off a cliff and went from tense and scary to flat out annoying and frustrating with the bugs and other mechanics.

I was already annoyed with the chainsaw gimmick fight because i missed the chainsaw the first time and it's literally impossible to kill him without it. When i did my second attempt after googling the chainsaw it was braindead easy. This is artificial difficulty and does nothing but frustrate the player.

5/10 Just meh. Does a few things alright at the start but the rest of the experience is going to be a frustrating slog. I can tell.
