After two years of being out, this game just keeps hitting it out of the park. The base game game of Vampire Survivors was a addicting, time consuming ride that had me saying one more game at 4 in the morning. Now with 2 years of DLC these developers really know how to not only respect their player base but also respect the IPs of the companies they have collaborated with; whether its their own DLC creations or Among Us, Contra, or Castlevania. The work was put in, and made the game shine even greater. This game is the perfect example of a game that is fun, well made, and worth much more than what they charge for it, id take this over any Ubisoft, EA, or SquareEnix game in a heartbeat.

Its a Bethesda game, the usual bugs are here (NPC's floating through things, weird object behaviour, loot disappears from your storage or weapon and armour displays). The game play is better than that of fallout 4 when it comes to gun play but that wasn't exactly a big leap, its no COD or Halo but better than any of the previous fallout's and Redfall. a big problem with this game is lots of menu navigation, which leads into way to much fast travelling.

Fallout 4 style weapon mods are present, Starfields outposts and Fallout 4's settlements are more of less the same. The handcrafted areas are very nice looking and well designed and have that same feel of exploration that a elder scrolls or fallout have. but the procedural generation is used excessively and its lazy and samey and so expect the go through the exact same mines, labs, structures, and have the exact same enemy placement and types inside these areas with the only thing changing being the enemies levels, hell even the mine and turret placements are the same.

while it seems that there is a lot of weapons here, what you get is a handful weapons in each type; pistol, rifle, shotgun ect, what your basically chasing is a looter style random drops which isn't a bad thing but when i get Pistol A and the new better one 10 levels later is Pistol A with Advanced in the name that does a little more damage the loot excitement kinda dies for me. Also don't expect a deep melee system here either as far as i can tell there are 9 melee weapons with 6 of which being a knife of some sort and the same 3 hit combo being the extent of melee combat and maybe im missing it somewhere but there doesn't seem to be any mods for melee weapons.

there is more variation in clothes and Space suit Design. There is a lot of pallet swapping in both but there seems to have been more thought and effort put here than weapons which is kinda sad if your playing in first person.

Ship designing and game play is fun but a little finicky, definitely one of the standouts in this game. there could be a bit more of a tutorial here but there isn't anything too complicated that with time you wont figure out. if your someone who spends hours in a character creator then you will be spending just as much time here. Ship combat is fun and intuitive, you get your dogfight combat and get to play out your star trek fantasy's with shifting around your power usage and targeting specific parts of your enemies ships and if your feeling more like pirate you can board and loot and even steal the other ship. its a real shame that a lot of your travelling will be done with the fast travel just to save time.

There is another spoilery mechanic in the game but its nothing special, think space Skyrim mechanic thats just meh.

honestly there's a lot here on the surface and i did have fun but i just don't think this game has the legs or heart that Bethesda's previous games have had, this is Bethesda's least buggy game and i guess that's a win but i feel that Starfield being Bethesda's first new IP in a fair number of years that this is a let down for me.
