What's there to say that hasn't already been mentioned?

Game gets super grindy and becomes a full time job eventually LOL
Luckily, your workers to hire can alleviate the majority of tedious tasks.

I'm slowly becoming Pablo Escobar and loving it.

It's been fun so far. At its current stage, it's been mostly enjoyable. A few glitches and bugs have been a headache, but that'll get ironed out soon.

Looking forward to this open world map get absolutely filled with loot, harder AI and content.

One of the best games I've played in recent memory. Can't believe I never played this before.

For the $3 sale, this is one of the best $3 purchases I've made.... besides on your mother of course.

Ayooooooooooo!

Shooters, MMOs, RPG's, open world, customizations this, graphics that - I had enough of that already.

I needed something that can be fun, in-depth, challenging, unique and at my own pace - I believe I found it.

The last total war game that I played was when Medeival 2 came out, and Rome Total War before that. Both great games - I just ended up getting lost into shooters, RPGS & MMO's before and after.

When I bought Three Kingdoms I really didn't know what to expect besides just an updated Total War. At first the campaign is very confusing - completely different campaign mechanics that I remember.

For one - AI is a lot smarter than what they used to be in RTW and ME2. I played the campaign on EASY and it was pretty touch (until the last 40 or so turns).

I rolled Sun Jian and restarted several campaigns until I got the feel of the game.

While considered cheap, I often made a new save before making a big diplomatic decision or attacking a faction. This helped a ton with having the options of A or B.

The gameplay itself is a lot of fun and very challenging - the one big issue I have is morale is really awful in this game. I remember legions in RTW would go literally until the last handful of guys before retreating. This seems to have a more realistic focus on morale - where about 50 to 60% casualties per unit results in an automatic retreat (SOMETIMES they stop retreating), but it''s a real pain in the butt when you could have used that little extra OOMPH to make an edge on the battle.

Another mechanic was adding Warlords to run each army - and this was kind of cool. While the other TW games I played had a general that could fight - it was nothing like this. These Warlords control 6 units of 30 to 120 soldiers - each full army consists of 3 Warlords with 18 units in total. Pretty cool. But these Warlords have they're own in-depth customization to reach for - want melee damage to blast through 30 foes at once? No problem - want one of the warlords to just focus on public satisfaction and money gains while in one of your cities that you're building up? No problem. How about a Warlord who's a total beast with an arrow and can rain down hell on the enemy? Done. The Warlords(Hero's) you use are impressive and pain at the same time. You most always will fight enemies with Warlords running their armies - it's cool. As you fight, win battles and do other things to gain experience, they level up and have additional perks to unlock along the way. On top of this - each Warlord can be a diplomat for the faction (Heir, leader, chancellor, etc) to enhance your factions cities and trade agreements with others.

From building garrison in you cities to focusing on commerce, resources/food or just military outpost - this game has some serious depth with how to build an empire. It's really cool.

There were a few issues that I couldn't stand - several times that my armies were stacked up next to each and an enemy attacked, my second third stacked armies RIGHT next to the one getting attacked were not involved with the fight - this cost me many armies, yet there were so many times I attacked an enemy with armies more spread apart yet they were all involved in the fight. Huh?

Another issue was how cheap factions were with trading things. They expected you to bend over basically and give them something that you have for dirt cheap or even worse, nothing! Lol - they can pound sand.

AS I played through the campaign - I focused on trade, commerce, public order, and building up my cities as I slowly expanded. Having played mostly under the radar - staying as neutral as possible with the larger factions to avoid getting wiped, I eventually began to expand by destroying their enemies. And before you know it - I was one of the top dogs. After about 300 turns - I finally became emperor (You need to hold three emperor seats to win). From lowest rank(Each faction rank up you get perks) all the way to emperor was a long but very enjoyable experience.

This is a solid game that I am very much interested in continuing to play.

Shooters, MMO's and RPGS have my heart - but there's always room for a TOTAL WAR game.

9.2 / 10 -

Pros -
Complex campaign system
Epic battles with thousands of soldiers
Sound score is phenomenal (Background music, explosions, soldies yelling, etc)
High replay value
Very good graphics (Playing on a 34inch UWS monitor and it looks great.

Cons -
Some fixes needed with campaign continuity - not a game breaker though
Resource hungry game - I wouldn't pump up graphics unless you got a beasty computer.

GET THIS GAME!

One of the most action packed co-op shooters around.

These developers are top notch; constantly patching this game and always have seasonal events, skins, and additional maps to play each Summer, Halloween and Christmas.

Content wise it's loaded with many dozens of hours worth of fun, action and unlocks to achieve.

All of the classes(perks) are exceptional fun, and each have a much different style of play than the other.

I highly recommend playing this game if you're looking for something fast paced, difficult(Try on Suicidal or Hell on Earth), along with loads of guns and enjoyment with friends.

8 player co-op at its best.

The zombies are savage, and they come in several different varities of strengths, weaknesses and more.

9 out 10 in my book.

The only thing I wish from playing this game over the years(most of my time was on PS4), is the now somewhat dated graphics - so I'm aching for a Killing Floor 3, in which I'll gladly pay full price for.

If you can score this game for $20 or under, it's well worth it.

What's not to love? This is a game that you can't expect results in a first time playthrough. You will not go far within a few hours, but you will see progress. Leveling in a world the size of a real planet, it's quite difficult to understand some people's expectations of things happening quickly as if they were playing some BR or FPS game.

The amount of content in this game is astounding for the price you're paying for. 1000's of hours.
While some things could change, I mostly see this game as getting better per each DLC that is released.

I have over 4,000 hours logged on PS4 and only above 100 here on PC, so the PC version I am getting used to, but the context is all the same. Kill this guy, defend this town, pvp this, pve that, explore, site see, make friends, conquer and become an emperor.

I highly recommend this game for anyone who just wants a game that'll last them years and years. They can quit tomorrow, and come play it again a year or two later and keep going.

You won't regret it if you understand what there is to do.

I've played this game for a few years on PS4 and it was hilarious fun then... WOW, even after 7 years of release, this game still is packed full of stuff to build, see and kill. You can easily get hundreds of hours off this game.

While the game isn't completely optimized, it'll run decent on any current gen computer.

Graphically, it's not that good. It's like a decent upgrade from Minecraft.

The crafting and freedom to do what you want is where this game shines.

I recommend it if you can get it on sale.
