If you really like Horse Games and are desperately looking for good ones then give this one a chance. Sure, it's unfinished and still needs time, i didn't really encounter any big bugs so far, only had some little things that didn't bother me too much. I think i bought it while it was on sale for about 20€ and it was totally worth it. The story is still unfinished, but while waiting for that i can focus on building a nice ranch and try to breed the best possible horse which are nice aspects of the game. The NPCs are taking over your Highscore every now and then which motivates you to redo it.
If i'm right the Dev team is working hard on fixing everything that occured and i hope they'll come with the next "chapter" of the story soon. Please be fair and don't be too harsh on them, rather write a nice email listing all the bugs found and suggestions you have so they can work on improving the game and maybe even add things the community wants to see.

Make sure to check out at least the DLC with the Irish Cob if you want a bit of variety in your game, it's not that expensive when on sale (saying that as an apprentice, living away from her parents, so my budget for games is tight), and even if the saddles might float, it's still alot of fun to ride out to the beach with your chonky buddy.

TLDR: Would definetly recommend, especially if you don't mind an unfinished game and even more if you usually spend times with the "side tasks" than the main story.
