Good game, very unique and interesting and even a little scary. I'd highly recommend playing with a controller because the controls on keyboard and mouse annoyed me but other than that it's good

Free and good aim trainer. It's an amazing product for being free and I use it often. Also has a paid option if you want extra coaching.

Overall rating: 6.5/10

This game is overall pretty fun. It has some extremely high moments but also some extremely low ones. The combat system isn't incredibly in depth but you do get multiple guns and throwables throughout the game that you can choose how to use. The cutscenes are orchestrated like a movie, and due to the episodic format, you oftentimes feel like you're playing through a TV show, which I think is cool.

The characters are also really, really good. Most of the characters you meet (Including Alan Wake himself) have an actual personality that clearly shines through when you talk to them. This is important as it makes yap sessions that would otherwise be extremely boring much, much more interesting.

However this game does have a couple bad things about it. The biggest things are that Chapter 3 has a section of almost 2 hours where you are doing nothing except walking through the forest, losing and regaining various weapons, and killing Taken. It gets quire boring after 1 hour let alone even longer, and judging by Reddit, caused many people to quit the game, even though the following chapters are all far better. Chapter 3 is a big low point and I wish they'd done something more with it. Chapter 6 also has a similar sequence, but at least it has more drivable cars and is shorter, so it's a lot more bearable.

Another thing about this game that angered me was the mechanics and the clipping. Your character model clips onto the slightest bit of geometry and if you do, it will cause you to die at least once. Jumping is sluggish and takes forever, but even worse is the fact that your sprint button is the same as your dodge button, so you will dodge when you want to sprint, and if you're on something narrow, you will fall off and die.

GRAPHICS: This game originally game out on PS3/XBOX360 in 2010. So asyou can imagine, the graphics are missing a lot of today's graphical features and techniques, and the game looks dated. However, it was VERY ahead of it's time, and the game is still truly beautiful imo. If you want better graphics, you can buy the remastered version, however that also has some downsides. I would recommend getting this version and just cranking the settings up to maximum (Although, this original game has NO TEXTURE SETTINGS, so unless you finagle an HD pack into your game files, your textures will not look that great no matter what.)

DIFFICULTY: I completed the game on Normal with a controller, which I never use, and didn't have much of an issue. I definitely died a few times due to lack of familiarity with a controller, but overall if you play this game on Normal, it should be pretty easy by design. NIGHTMARE mode is there if you want a real challenge, of course.

If you see this game on sale and you have 11-13 hours to spend on a a movie-like, slightly corny, but fun thriller game, I can certainly recommend it. However it's nowhere near perfect and definitely isn't for people with very short attention spans.

OVERALL RATING: 8/10

TLDR: Very good game, basically Far Cry 3 with an AMAZING setting, mini-helicopters, a good story that allows you to choose some different outcomes, and yet another amazing villain. However it suffers from Ubisoft crunch bugs and some side quests can be lackluster.

GRAPHICS: 9/10. When you're looking out over a large landscape, this game has some of the most beautiful vistas I've seen in any game, ever. The Himalayas are beautifully rendered with great detail, and the tree LOD is wonderfully designed and allows the tree to still look perfect at any distance. Pop in exists but isn't too bad. The lighting (on ultra settings) is also incredible, it's genuinely so good, especially for a 9-year-old game.
However, when you get up close, it's not anything special at all. The lack of polygons and bump mapped textures on rocks really shows and makes caves look bad quite often.

STORY 7/10. The story, while not as good as Far Cry 3, is underrated. The game is set in Kyrat, a fictional country that seems to be based on the real-life country of Nepal. The first cutscene is incredible, but then the story is boring for a while. However I thought it really picked up again the 2nd half of the game, and with the ending that gives you a choice between 4 different endings, all of which leave you wondering if you made the right choice (in a good way), I feel like this game's story is really quite good, and 1,000 times better than the current slop that Ubisoft puts out.

CONS: The NPC AI is pretty awful even compared to open world games from its time. Golden Path members running each other over, enemies repeating the same 2 lines and conversations, I feel like they could've done a lot better if not for Ubisoft forcing a set release date. Also something that suffers is the game stability. There aren't that many bugs, but when they do happen they are usually game breaking and you'll need to fast travel or restart the entire quest. ALSO, if you are in the middle of a campaign mission and shut down you game, you'll restart from the very start of the campaign mission, NOT from your last checkpoint. So dont shut down your game if you're 30 minutes into a Shangri-La level and have to go do something. You'll have to restart it all over.
However, the bugs arent too common and definitely not game breaking. The NPC AI can break immersion but its not bad enough to make me massively change my rating.

Overall, I would give the game an 8/10 and I would recommend buying and playing it once it goes on sale. As a 9 year old game, it's definitely not worth full price (especially since Ubislop owns it) but just wishlist it and buy it once it's on sale.

This game is pretty good. I'd rate it a a 7/10. HOWEVER Tomb Raider 2013 is a much better game that this one just doesn't live up to.

Story: Not totally sure how to feel about this story. It has amazing heartfelt parts but also has extremely contrived elements and stuff that isn't interesting. However the good parts outweigh the bad and for video games it's still a good story. I'll give it a 7/10.

Graphics: Again, good news and bad news. The overall graphical quality of the terrain and buildings is incredible on max settings. Even nowadays it looks stunning, in 2015 it must've been incredible, if you had a card that could run it.
HOWEVER, the quality of Lara herself is actually WORSE than the first game. Her skin looks less natural and also looks way too smooth and posh for what Lara has been through and goes through in this game. She certainly doesn't look bad, but it's still definitely a disappointment. I'll give graphics a 9/10.

Movement: The movement in this game is worse than Tomb Raider 2013. Which they introduce a lot of new mechanics, which is great, some of them simply do not work well and you will clip through stuff you should be landing on just because the game didn't "detect" that you wanted to land there. It caused me to die multiple times. It also feels clunkier than the first game. Not the worst movement but not up to Tomb Raider standards imo. 4.5/10

One plus is that it has more to do. They added Crypts, which weren't in the first game, added slightly more tombs and more documents and relics and challenges etc. on much bigger levels. Despite playing 11 more hours in this game than the first one, I finished both games with around 75% completion.

TLDR:
7/10
It's good. But Tomb Raider 2013 is much better despite being 2 years older.

AMAZING game!!

You play as Lara Croft, who is a badass character but still has depth, limits and emotions. The story is extremely good, I thought it was well paced and not contrived, as long as you don't mind supernatural phenomenon.

And the graphics. Wow. Just wow. I cannot believe this game released in 2013, on the XBOX 360. The game still looks absolutely stunning, and Lara's character model and face are some of the most realistic I've seen in ANY GAME, EVER. The art style is sometimes subtle and sometimes very apparent, but it goes well with the game. Of course, all this is provided that you can play on maxed out graphics, but you should only need a GTX 970 or so to play the game on max settings, 1080p 60fps.

The parkour and movement in general is pretty good. It's no Assassin's Creed, but it's pretty fun and extremely integrated into the game. You will be climbing on a LOT of precarious ledges.

The combat is decent. The bow is very satisfying to use and viable but not overpowered. The gunplay is fine. However, hiding behind objects while in combat is very janky, especially with a keyboard and mouse. There's also no crouch button, Lara crouches automatically when getting near enemies, but I got spotted once due to this malfunctioning.

TLDR:
Story: 9/10
Graphics: 11/10 (yes they are THAT good, Lara Croft specifically is rendered better than most 2020's games when this game is on ULTRA settings.)
Movement: 8/10
Combat: 6.5/10
Overall: 9/10, highly recommended. It's probably on sale so give it a shot!

This game is just plain Western fun. It doesn't take itself seriously at all, which I think is perfect for the setting and plot. The mechanics are very good and it will probably make you laugh multiple times while playing through.
Beware though, this game is actually not that easy. I'm an intermediate FPS player and I've died multiple times on the easiest setting. The duels and the boss battles are the most difficult.
