The game looks great, and the fighting itself feels good. If you liked doing nothing but look at the characters and fight the CPU on easy in MK11, you'll love this one. But that's all there is good to say.

Performance on PC is terrible. Everything that is not a fight is locked at 30 fps with no option to remove the cap, and stuttering is a constant hindrance to both gameplay and cinematics. I'm running this game on a 5900x and 4070 Ti, so the issue is not my hardware. The game is fun, but the performance problems and stuttering on this PC port can make it borderline unplayable at times. I've tweaked settings to no end, and still the issues persist. There is an unofficial patch that makes menus 60fps, but it can break certain textures, and AAA game studios should not have to rely on modders to fix their games after a bad launch anyway. Unless you like your fights littered with stuttering and sudden frame drops, stick with MK11 for now.

Another issue is audio quality in cinematics, with some ambient noises sounding like they were recorded on a Motorola from the mid 2000s and are being streamed on 700kbps wifi. Voices in the story can also sound terrible at times, Johnny Cage and Liu Kang in particular sometimes sounding like their voices were recorded in a MW2 lobby with a turtle beach headset. Way too much low end and compression.

TLDR; buy it on console.
