Finally reached a point that I consider it time to give this a review. As you can tell by my hours at review time, there is a lot more to this game than meets the eye. It had kind of a slow start imo (mainly because I wanted to get straight into solving mysteries, but the roguelite luck elements kind of deterred me) but eventually I came around once I got better at strategizing and started getting permanent additions. What starts off as a seemingly simple objective unravels into a complex journey of family secrets. The worldbuilding is immaculate and the puzzle solving is tough, but satisfying to complete. I definitely recommend if you like getting sucked into rabbit hole after rabbit hole that seemingly never ends.

This looks very promising. Big fan of the Mario & Luigi series, so it's good to see that inspiration in there (or maybe I'm looking too much into "one person following the other" mechanic). Haven't played an actual WarioWare game but Mindwave is another anticipated game of mine, so I've dipped my toes into the genre. Part of me wants to see more of the M&L side of things used in this, like perhaps overworld battles that incorporate the battle system from it, but I understand if that's not part of the vision. I feel this would add a little more engagement to the overworld sections however, as at the moment, it didn't really feel "jam-packed" and was more like going from point A-B with character interactions and a couple puzzles sprinkled in. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but I feel like there is potential for more. Overall though, very charming game and I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for more.

I got a group of fellow remedyverse enjoyers to play this with and honestly it's been a blast. I can see where the negative reviews are coming from, but I feel satisfied with my experience so far, so I'm giving a thumbs up to do a small part in improving reception. I do think the game has some flaws, like no in-game text/voice chat and a lackluster solo experience, but overall the game has been really fun with friends, and I am currently finding myself excited to play more and to upgrade my firebreaker

I had already played this game about a year back, and it became one of my favorites. Great story, unforgettable characters, and intuitive puzzles. The news of this port certainly had me excited to revisit Ghost Trick. While I am a bit disappointed with the extra content it gave, in the end I'm glad this game is accessible to more people now. The remastered soundtrack is about what I expected, with some tracks not sounding as good as the originals (in my opinion of course, others may not think the same) but some had me pleasantly surprised and I prefer those over their DS counterpart. Overall I definitely think this is worth the buy if you are new to Ghost Trick and are interested in trying it out.

Certainly one of the best games I've ever played. I honestly almost didn't pick it up, but now I've played every game in the entire franchise.
