tbh gameplay + mechanics changed maybe 20%. just has a few different maps. other than that; I prefer the Demo every time.
I will buy back the game whenever it's fully optimized and when they add at least a multiplayer or coop function to it.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is an amazing game and easily one of the top five Assassin’s Creed titles for me. I played it years ago on a physical DVD, and the experience was incredible. The naval combat, pirate atmosphere, story, and freedom at sea made it unforgettable. It is one of those games that really shows how good the AC series can be at its peak.

Sadly, the Steam version today is almost unplayable on modern systems like Windows 11. The game stutters and freezes right from launch, and even if you somehow push through that, using basic effects like smoke bombs or eagle vision often crashes the game. It is frustrating because the game itself is great, but the technical issues completely ruin the experience. A fantastic game that unfortunately does not work properly on newer systems.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance was surprisingly strong for me, even though I played the second game first. Right after finishing KCD2, I jumped into this one and quickly realized it had nothing less to offer. It captures everything that made the sequel great and pulled me in almost immediately. The world feels alive, and the experience feels complete, not outdated.

The game is beautiful, and the visuals still hold up against many modern AAA games. The landscapes are especially impressive and fun to explore. Henry starts off as a lazy, weak blacksmith peasant, but as you progress, you truly feel his growth. You feel his skills improving, his confidence building, and his journey toward becoming a squire. That sense of progression is real and rewarding, and it makes the game memorable.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a true RPG in the purest sense. Every character feels well written and believable, and your actions actually matter. If you drink alcohol every day, Henry becomes an alcoholic, and if you stop drinking, you get debuffs. Dialogue changes based on Henry’s stats and his relationships with other characters. Voice lines react to how you play, and the mocap and animations feel real and grounded. The cities and points of interest are detailed, alive, and full of personality.

The Legacy of the Forge DLC is also amazing. I spent over 30 hours just playing the DLC, crafting different swords and axes purely because it was fun. That alone shows how deep the systems are. Overall, this is one of the few games I would give a straight 10 out of 10 in the history of gaming. And yes, it was robbed at the awards. It should have won Best RPG and Best Sound Design without question.
