It's a trap.

Just kidding! I'll actually trim your armor for free. Hit me up!

Early Access Review
This game HAD the number one spot in all of BR's on the market in my opinion. It is optimized far better than PUBG, the gunplay is far more advanced and stable aswell as the looting mechanics. It didn't feel like you loot for 30 minutes just to die shortly after. The three different classes with their pros and cons to each one (more movement = less capacity, vice versa) was unique and refreshing. Aside from the occasional hackers (that would get dealt with swiftly) and bugs like sounds, this game had it all.

Keywords in that last paraphrase are "Had, didn't, was". First off, for myself and the group of friends I play with we've definitely noticed a fall in performance regarding the new map. It's much choppier and less responsive. The loot is still the same as far as the abundance and not feeling like a looting simulator. The two main issues with the update in my and the friends I play with are the classes and the old map availability. The new map, along with the new classes really show favoritism towards one class, the Grappling hook. You can grapple hook to just about anywhere your heart desires in a matter of seconds with little to no penalty. All three classes have the same mobility and capacity, making it virtually useless to try any other class than the grappling hook. ROE has turned from gliders, snowboarders and ziplines into an Alternate Marvel universe where Spiderman was cloned 59 times and they all have to fight for the chopper to get back to the original universe in order to save Mary Jane.

Now for the most mind boggling part of the update for me. They took away the original map that gained their current player base and completely replaced it with the new ones. Except for a few hours of each day where Halley's comet meets the path of the suns solar flares and shines down on the heavens and unlocks the Dione Map. They TOOK away the original map. I'm all for change and I was extremely excited for this new update in hopes of some new refreshing guns, tactics and scenery. However I, and many other people have had that joy ripped from them with this update. I really don't see an issue with keeping both maps and allowing people to play both instead of forcing people to play the new map, or wait for specific hours to play a few games of the game we've known to love. In it's current state, I really can't recommend this game to anyone, free or not. If you're into Marvel Comics then give it a try.
