it's like work but it's game

The gameplay and story here are so cleverly interwoven, just as well as in Pyre, maybe even more so.

Supergiant make what are genuinely the logical progression of arcade machine games. Repetitive and addictive gameplay loops but now with hugely polished narrative elements and always a gorgeous, highly-stylised aesthetic.

The only way you're going to notice this is an Early Access build is when you finally 'beat' the game. It's extremely polished otherwise.
