Sanabi was genuinely an incredible experience. I went in knowing nothing about the game and had great fun swinging around spider man style.
Little did I know I would get so invested in the story. To the point even that I cried at the end.

I recommend this game to anyone

I cannot express enough how good this game is. It is an extremely well refined game focusing on a few core mechanics working in harmony with a wealth of brilliant design decisions. This would easily be one of the best games to play for a few minutes to kills some time, while also injecting you with enough excitement and adrenaline to encourage you to keep trying to improve your score.

Honestly, between this and Refunct, I think we have found perhaps one of the greatest game designers of this generation and I can't wait to see what's next.

I'm a little late to the party, but Pyre is really quite great.

Pyre exceeds in nearly every aspect of a game. Its music is incredible (not that I would expect anything different from Darren Korb), the art is brilliant and varied, the characters are great and very much feel like they have a presence and history within the story, which itself is great.

The game was so captivating to me that the hours just flew by, and I would return to it whenever I had the chance.

I would thoroughly recommend this game to anyone.

Cultist Simulator is hard and confusing, there's no doubt about that, but it is a really fun type of hard and confusing.
The fact that the game contains no tutorials whatsoever does sound daunting, but the game uses only a handful of very simple to grasp mechanics, which means that it is very easy for the player to understand how to play the game, without necessarily understanding what to do in the game. That's where I feel the fun is, exploring the wealth of content present in the game blindly. Even if when you lose, you're get to start the game from a new angle.
If you are really stuck though, there is a super helpful wiki (that I've had to use only once, for the stag's riddle) and community guides to consult, but I would recommend using them only sparingly.

In summary, Cultist simulator is a very fun game that is enjoyable to explore.

I cannot recomend this game enough.

This is the first game in a long time that truly made me feel like I was exploring a world, rather than simply being shown it, and I loved every second of it.
The map is broken up into maybe ten or so sections, and at one point, I felt like I had my choice of four or five different sections that I had stumbled upon availiable for me to explore, and I was eagerly awaiting each one.

Whilst *most* areas of the game's art feature predominantly blues and greys, Team Cherry has done an oustanding job of crafting a consistent art style that feels like it belongs in the context of the other elements of the game that makes the world enjoyable to explore.

Hollow Knight also features a really interesting mechanic surrounding player death wherein the player's "Shade" departs the player's body and hangs around where the player died, taking the player's accumulated money with them and attacking the player if they return, while the player is sent back to the last safe area. Whilst the player's shade is still around, the player's soul guage is damaged, meaning the player's capacity for healing and spells is reduced. When the shade is defeated, the soul gauge is restored and any money the shade is carrying is restored; should the player die again, however, a new shade is created and the old one is removed (meaning any money that the old shade had is lost forever). This mechanic allows for some really interesting gameplay when the player is, rather organically, incentivised to continue to try and push past (or at least to return to) where they fell, even though the game isn't all that much more restrictive without ever retriving your shade.
The most interesting thing about shades, however, is the fact that they relate to the player as they were when they died, which means as they player gets stronger so too does the shade.

Anyway, I've gone on about the shade mechanic enough. Hollow Knight is a great, exploration-focused, combat-centric, 2D action platformer that everyone should give a try

Brilliant game, even now.
As much as "a dystopian document thriller" doesn't sound like much of an entertaining game, don't underestimate this game.
And don't be suprised to see yourself coming back again and again.
