This game is digital crack

Wanted to get into this game with some friends who had played it religiously for years. I was late to the game. Bought all the expansions to have access to all the content and get caught up on the story line - only to find the vast majority of content has been removed and the story line is incredibly fractured and non-existent. In less than a month it was already run dailies, play some crucible (PvP) and hunt for exotics that the game focuses so much on only to use the same 2 because you only equip one weapon and one armor piece at a time. I deeply regret the amount I spent on this game to find the content was removed.

Worst part is, the music's not even good

This game keeps getting bigger and better with each update

Get ready for X-com level of RNG. 95% chance to hit, you're probably going to miss half the time.

Hunt monsters with your pet cat to carve armor and weapons out of those monsters to gear up you and your cat so you can hunt bigger monsters and make bigger badder armor and weapons to hunt the next bigger monster.

This is really how battle would play out if a dozen 100 ton robots met on the battle field - not some fast paced-light show Gundam battle - but gruelling and arduous struggle of steel, bullets and bombs. This game is not for every one, as it is slow and punishing with the reward being those feels of seeing the enemy mech hit blown to smithereens or getting the last piece to that assualt mech you've been searching for; priceless.
