I love Revelations 2. Played recently and had a lot of fun. Little did i know that was the last time i would play it, at least on my retail version.

By now everyone knows the fiasco that was the launch of this game. Three years, a lot of patches and overhauling mods later, the game feels a lot more enjoyable, and as an Aliens fan, I felt that i should recommend this one. That being said, i acknwoledge every single flaw of A:CM, from the false advertising thing to dated graphics on launch and average gunplay except for the Pulse Rifle, Smartgun and Shotgun. But still, i had fun while it lasted. The soundtrack is good (in fact, the sound department is where this game shines), there's a lot of references to the movie to be found in the scenarios and while i do think that Biehn's voice acting was sounding a little bored, Lance Henriksen's lines were awesome. Regarding DLCs, Bug Hunt is a fun invasion mode that is playable both solo and online, and if you still want more of single player action, there's always Stasis Interrupted campaign, that helps to tie some loose ends of the convulted storyline. There's a bunch of weapons and skins to be purchased, but since multiplayer is essentially dead, they might become redundant. DLC weapons can still be used on single player though.

In the end, it's an average game. Not as bad as everyone says, and still may please some Aliens fans.
