You wanna know how I got these stats?

My steam account was a lurker, and a forgotten one. And one night, this game goes off crazier than usual. My steam deck gets the upload and I play myself but walk away.

The cards don't like that. Not. One. Bit. So, me watching, Balatro takes my time away hour by hour, cards laughing while it does it.

The developer turns to me and says, "Why so studious?" Comes at me with the free update. "WHY SO STUDIOUS?"

The game takes over my life, and my mouth whispers... "Let's put an enhancement on that face card."

I don't have much more to add other than it has been quite some time since I've played a game that both co-op and single player modes have been simultaneously amazing. I can't wait to see what Larian adds in the future (hopefully a DM mode or creation option).

Edit update: Still playing, though less so.

Edit update: Stopped playing, now thinking about starting again.

Early Access Review
Very chill tile placement game that evokes Catan and boils down city building to its core components.
UPDATE! Still an unbelievably chill tile placement game that I have put SO many hours into.

Gorgeous, full of great callbacks to old school GOTG comics and books and movies. I really love this game so much that I'm taking my time and don't really want to move forward, not because it will get harder, purely because I want to stay in it like a warm 80's blanket.

The last time a game grabbed me and held me this long (160+ hours at this point) was Fallout: NV. This is a fantastic god-like version of AC, closer to a God of War than AC OG. The world is massive and full of things to do and people to meet and kill or help. The only drawback (IMO) is the auto-leveling of enemies, but if you don't like an old-school grind, this may be exactly what you are looking for.

EDIT: 100% achievements after 212 hours of play. Wow. I really enjoyed the hell out of this one.

A fun, Werewolf/Mafia in space game that works for pretty much all ages. Even my kiddo's schools are getting into this game lately. A bit of anti-social socialization in a time where this is needed badly by most. Be aware, you should look at the maps and get to know the ship layouts, it will come in handy!

Excellent idea and execution of that idea. I feel like this is the spiritual successor to Myst more than, as the reviews say, No Man's Sky. I really liked the shorter format (no spoilers, but you can stop playing at regular intervals and take a break from the game) as well as the story and the discovery aspects to the game. As I have not beat it, I cannot tell you if the puzzles are hard or easy overall, but I have an inkling there is a larger puzzle at play here that may be difficult to see. Enjoy your journey, relax, explore and see what awaits you upon awakening!

Perfect blend of old school adventure clicker plus turn based RPG with a hilarious and satirical game and story. Add to that excellent replay options and this is a great game for anyone who enjoys a good bean joke.

Thank you for continuing to support this game. My kids and I will continue to play this together and enjoy all the discoveries we make.
