One must imagine Lunar Software happy. We are in the Routine Blue Edition for 25$ timeline.
It Looks great, Sounds great, Full of atmosphere, Tightly knit like a warm scarf but shorter than a napkin.
CAT Interactions and audiovisuals mixed with low amount of player hand-holding are definitely the highlights of this release.

I did enjoy my time with it but you can tell there were lots of stuff left under the floorboards, since its really short and most in-game systems don't stay for long gimmicks nor does the game employ any NG+ modes it seems.
This game did grab some sort of a niche, it doesn't stray too much into any direction: not fully a walking sim, not fully a narrative theatre, not fully a puzzler, not fully a horror, not fully an exploration game, not full a survival horror game - it's somewhere in-between all of those buckets and it stays there.

EDIT: TF2 in the rawest pre mann-conomy form possible with oldgen vibes with minor curated changes:
  • 64bit out of the box
  • selected github fixes
  • no gunslinger
  • no med crossbow
  • no demoman subclass, no eyelander, no charge-n-targe, etc.)
  • spy movement is slower (pre 2016 buff)
  • no auto-reload (why)
Does take a little bit to get used to but even with curation - its the same TF2.

For people in the know the lack of unlocked weapon progress wouldn't be an issue but it is a major setback for most. Any map that is missing can be re-added from gamebanana or the base TF2 itself, most of them are compatible.

Too vile, too angry, too evil.
Who pissed the australians off?

Four years after early access and its still just a vertical slice.
Even ignoring how useless the tutorial and a guide book is (was it really that hard to include exploded diagrams for each module) the whole headline of this game is "great concept but underwhelming execution".

➕Deceptively cute and solid artstyle.
➕Nice sound design.
➕Best first day on the job simulator.

➖Ungodly and instantly difficult as a cliff - it punishes you harshly and expects you to learn the manual from the first minute you've opened the game.
➖ It throws everything at you at once, from linear story and its mystery to side objectives with no room to breathe.

It has merit and some type of a niche despite its reverse cliff difficulty curve and zero chill fatal objectives,
While it does have a "no time limit" Focused Fixing difficulty, its not a default setting and it will sour your first impression if you decide to go with the intended difficulty.

Free. Fun. Polished visuals. it's great.
Have ditched the hangouts with the crew after the first cycle, but the writing is stellar and genuine.
Would have gladly paid 10$ for it.
