Mid, reused levels that are poorly redesigned. Not even a full 18 holes!

So I have a love-hate relationship with this game. The mechanics of the game are fun for an older fighting game, the very underrepresented Nasuverse characters appear here with a neat story. Seeing Shiki from Garden of Sinners in more media is great. Kinda wish Type Moon would release a Fate fighting game that's not a musou style like the Extella games, although those are fun. The roster selection is pretty good, seems like there'd be a character for all types of players.

This game is fun but here's the thing tho: Although Melty Blood does say it has controller support, you are NOT going to be able with play with an Xbox controller, well at least not by opening the game for the first time.

As a PC player that almost always prefers a controller over keyboard, this was the biggest let down. I've tried most of the suggested work arounds for the game but I could not get my Xbone (Xbox One) controller working at all with the game. I have seen threads reporting that they got their PS4 controllers and a few Xbox controllers working in game by plugging in a second controller (this is probably due to the game automatically detecting 2 players since it is originally an arcade game).

So if you do get the game and you use a controller, be wary that you'll have to do some leg work to get your controller working. I did hear fight sticks work tho!

So I run Gunstar Heroes on this with an Intel i7-4400 laptop on intergrated graphics. When the Room is put to 720p and the fastest (lowest) settings, the sluggishness and lag are reduced drastically. Originally, the Steam FPS counter said I was hitting 30-40 FPS but then after the adjustments, it said I was reaching around 80-90 FPS. I think the game feels smooth enough after the adjustments but I do suggest to keep the games you play in the emulator in fullscreen mode. Adjusting the Room setting is important to getting the emulations working smoothly. I hope this helps for people running games on laptops or low spec systems.
