Gameplay wise, NBA 2k17 is one of the best sports sims out there. But there's a HUGE caveat.

The game features a solid career mode, where you create a player from scratch and work your way to stardom in the NBA. That character can then be taken to MyPark to face off against other players online (more on that later).

Another gem is MyGM/League. As you'd expect, you manage a team to a championship, taking care of all the minutia between games.

My personal favorite mode is MyTeam. In this mode you build a squad of current and/or former NBA players by collecting their cards. Then test your squad in weekly challenges or face off against historic teams to unlock various rewards. MyTeam also offers competetive online modes, but this is where the issues arise...

NBA 2k17's multiplayer is completely broken on PC. Cheaters are rampant and go unchecked by 2k. I litterally can't play the MyTeam Online modes because hackers crash the game before it even starts. Somehow crashing the game gives them a W and me a L while using up my contracts. Like I said, it's an unplayable mess. From what I understand the console versions of the game are mostly fine, so I guess 2k just doesn't care about the PC community. They already got our money...so GG.

tl;dr - If you're only interested in singleplayer, this game is a ton of fun. Multiplayer? I wouldn't expect 2K to fix anything at this point. So either buy a console or you're wasting your money.
