Early Access Review
Great feeling FPS that scratches the Borderlands loot-itch and also gives you the rogue-like feeling of progression when you're able to surpass your previous attempts. I almost gave up after the first few hours, especially when I kept dying at the first boss and was losing hard-won Souls (progression currency). However, after getting the perk that allows you to "Bank" them it allows you to feel like you are progressing even if you aren't getting any further. Perhaps we should start with that.

After a certain point, the game just "clicks" and you become powerful enough to breeze through the early stages. For me, it was getting the Bird character. I never liked the other two but once I got the Bird (short range, melee focused) it became incredibly fun. Also knowing the guns and perks helps.

Met a couple of hacked characters (max rank but didn't know gameplay basics). That's not the game's fault. Overall, a fantastic roguelike FPS and I can't wait for content patches and new characters.

Played this a BUNCH (maxing out plane/upgrades) on both iOS and Android versions. This Steam version is quite good,; just as grindy and just as fun. Graphics are gorgeous as always, and controls are tight. The addition of couch co-op is the big seller. Happy to sink dozens more hours into this one.

Graphics are significantly better than BL2 and I really enjoy the art direction. The humor is a little stale by now, but at least it doesn't take itself too seriously. The story is forgettable, which is fine since this genre of game is all about collecting that sweet sweet loot anyway.

About that... once you get to Mayhem 4 and run the Circle of Slaughter (matchmade coop activity) the sheer amount of legendary loot gets ridiculous. To the point that I'm leaving 95% of it lying on the ground, not even bothering to vendor it. I mean... getting new loot is fun, but sifting through all that trash isn't!

Also, I didn't pay for the Season Pass or any of the DLC and I feel like I'm slightly gimped in terms of not being able to get the best gear and have top-end build.

Lastly, yeah it sucks we had to wait all these months until it arrived on Steam. The hype has died down and so has the playerbase so matchmaking isn't instant. Overall, still worth the money for a solid looter shooter.

best twin-stick shooter on PC. some light grinding needed to upgrade your drones and supers, but not too bad. i've been able to progress normally, getting 2 stars on most stages... hope i don't hit a wall.

Worthy successor to Darksiders 1- one of my favorites of the PS3 gen. This one opens up the world and gives you more flexibility and upgrade options. However, the puzzles are still sometimes random and may require a walkthrough.

I had purchased Darksiders 2 original, played it a bit and decided to purchase Deathinitive Edition. Lo and behold, my previous save was automatically imported. I also encountered a weird glitch (in both DS2 and DS2 DE) which required me to force V-Sync in both Nvidia and game settings.

What else is there to say? Free update for one of the greatest games of the past decade. Sunk so many hours into this on PS3, and happy to do it all over again- with better graphics, faster load times and countless mods.

Fun game. However, streaming it thru In-Home streaming or Nvidia Gamestream loses connection with gamepad. Not sure why.

The true successor to the legendary Ragnarok Online. Thousands of hours spent wasting away my college tuition pulling all-night Raydric runs and chowing down on hot pockets. The perfect mix of Diablo + World of Warcraft.

Tree of Savior is the game I've been wanting to play for years. Steam - yep. Great controller support - yep. Runs on my underpowered Ultrabook - yep. Free 2 Play + fair in-game benefits for paying? Yep. Grind grind grind till your eyeballs bleed? You know it.

Yes there are server issues. Yes there are bots. What MMO doesn't? But if you can look past that, this is truly a gem. Will be playing this for years to come.

LOVE twin-stick shooters, this one is fantastic. Light RPG elements to keep you grinding, and the feeling of teamwork even with random pubbies is great. Easy to hop in and out, great for short or quick sessions.
