The thing about this game, is that you can no longer realistically be good at it anymore unless you played it back when it was popular. The skill gap is huuuuge, but you have to exclude all the hackers which are in 1 out of every 4 comp matches. While I love this game and find it very fun, to a new player, I just don't see it worth your time to get good at it. It will most likely not be a fun experience.
