Without proper keyboard remapping and bugs in controls when using the mouse I can't recommend the game for people that don't have a qwerty layout or lack a controller. When the game gets stuck into an animation it doesn't cancel it but you need to forcefully close the game and reload your last checkpoint.

While only getting to the restore power part in chapter 1, I already found the 2D while 3D depth annoying. It made it hard to hit enemies on firststrike in the world.
Space being the default button for jumping and activating dialog makes traversing a pain since you can't hop like a bunny around the world without being stopped to read a sign. ***Following this a major problem is that there isn't a faster dialog option so the text is skipped when pressing space and if there are dialog options you automatically select the bottom option resulting in frustration. A simple solution would be that clicking the mouse would forward the text. Resulting in the famous nurse joy healing your pokémon 2 times but with all intractable objects in the world.
Sprinting only activates when you repress the shift key. This makes walking windy paths more of a button mashing game than a focus on the environment and level design.

For now I would give the game a 6/10.

One of the best games for paper art-style sadly a bit laggy.
Hoping for Forever and Ever to be more fps friendly.
