Phenomenal. The story is why i pay for this game, and the amazing gameplay and especially the graphics and optimization is what makes me want to play more after beating it, along with all of the hidden areas and exploration. The puzzles are an added bonus. I'm blown away by how smooth yet gorgeous game is. Other developers should pay attention.

Great game.

The first game that I have actually dumped time into since Skyrim. This game is amazing. From the combat, to the puzzles, to the story. I have already put in over 40 hours, with many more on the way as I go through the realms and start a New Game+. 10/10. This game runs well on my RTX 3070 Ryzen 9 5900HS laptop. At 1440p ultra, i can consistently get 40-60 fps when playing on my TV with a controller. Amazing? No. Good enough? Absolutely. Of course I could use DLSS or FSR or just turn down res/quality, but I'm ok with it on this game. Absolutely beautiful and stunning.

The amount of content this game has to offer is immense. With an average of 30 hours of story time, the other realms go relatively unexplored and you may miss puzzles or resources here and there. Once you beat the story and look at the map, seeing 30% completion in Midguard alone goes to show how many hidden areas and side quests there are to do. And that's just in one of the realms. I haven't played with mouse and keyboard, only fiddled with the controls. Honestly would just recommend controller, for me it is just that type of game. The story is put together amazingly well. Honestly can not wait to see what this game has in store for me next! I do wish there were more skills to learn, even older games like Darksiders have way more combat combos. But that doesn't take away from how great the combat is, there is still plenty of options between the 3 ways Kratos has, and you also have Artreous.

I would highly recommend this game to Skyrim players, Darksiders players, Dark Souls players, Cyberpunk, Fallout, etc. It is a different take on the RPG story side of things, expanding greatly on the action and adventure parts of it. While not necessarily open world, it feels like it should be considered somewhat open world! Once you finish the main story line, you get access to all of the portal gateways, and you are free to roam anywhere you want. I see why it is not technically open world, but it is very close to it.

Conclusion: 10/10 would recommend. If you haven't played this game, you don't know what you are missing out on!
