My vote for GOTY 2025. Blitz 243 hours (at the time of writing this review) and taken the optional 'reset' of doing an expedition and thoroughly loving rebuilding my character from scratch. The feel of the game, the fun of fighting the AI, the terror of losing those amazing bits of loot you've managed to find (and can't fit in your prison pocket), those crazy interactions, the betrayals, the comradery, the teamwork, the solo games... All of it has made this a game I just can't stop playing.

It starts off with a very clear nod to the Black Mesa incident, but progresses to a hybrid "Stalker" / "Half-Life" vibe that really works. Hard to believe the level (and asset) design came from a solo developer. Great game! About to try it all again on the max difficulty - easily worth the asking price.

Liberty. Democracy. They WON'T deliver themselves. Get to it, soldier!

Phenomenal potential - lush looking graphics - good, solid gameplay - interesting skill curve that differs greatly from the standard FPS game. On this I can't lavish enough praise (and to my mind, seems to be a perfect fit for VR - I can dream)

Then they go and spoil it all by making the game Peer-to-peer, worse still when the host quit all connected players get booted.

WTAF Devs!? So, P2P gameplay with no host migration. So what actually happens is you get a good TDM game going, then a few minutes in the host gets shot, can't be bothered waiting for the round to end so quits...

This game needs DEDICATED SERVERS to survive the madness of having rage kiddies wreck any decent matches.

Sort it out.

Refunded til they get this sorted - as it's a massive deal breaker.

If you're a fan of the retro-style of shooter (Doom, Wolfenstein, et al) you're going to love this! This game takes that old style and runs with it - puts you inside the "Compound" using the newest of VR tech whilst still staying true to the original 'feel' of those older FPS shooters. The aiming is spot on, the feel of the weapons is awesome and the ramp up in difficulty means you won't be finishing this on the hardest difficulty quickly.

Skin crawlingly good atmosphere generated in a very slow tension-building game. Best played on Halloween when the ghosts actually come out of the screen! (The previous sentence may be a small exaggeration)
