only played the first game at the time of this review and i only paid 20 buckeroos for it so that was pretty worth for me (ive seen it go as low as 5 buckeroos in recent)

edit: almost 50 hours later and I finished the second game and yeah me2 is a step up in a lot of ways. Looking forward to playing the third game now

have yet to dislike a game from Supergiant

got it for free, the menu navigation feels weird with controller but in game its fine and the puzzles are fun so far (have only finished the first 39 so just under half)

if only every game could be optimized as well as sony ports.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story. The side content actually felt rewarding and well integrated into the overall experience which is not something I can say for most open world games. I can see why people would see this as a Ubisoft open world style game though. This is basically what AC Shadows would have been if Ubisoft was still competent.

In all seriousness if you liked Nioh 1 you are absolutely going to enjoy Nioh 2, if you didnt play Nioh 1 thats fine you can just play this one (although Nioh 1 ain't bad)

if you like digimon story games you're gonna like this one, if you're trying to get into the series 70 dollars is pretty steep I'd wait for either this to go on sale or maybe just try your hand at cyber sleuth since even though this one has a lot of QoL changes the general idea of how it plays is the same there

was a fan of the first game this one was even better with more content, they innovated on the mechanics of the first game. Would recommend!

i dont usually play multiplayer games but with the unlimited multiplayer mod we had a group of like 9 playing and it was my entire discord call so I got peer pressured into playing and had a ton of fun, for 7 bucks its more than worth it

my friends kept joking this was amazon delivery driver simulator, and I thought maybe the early game is like that and then switches up on you. Nope its like that the entire way through. That being said its a lot more than that as far as systems go and very story driven unsurprisingly. I had a lot of fun , not enough for me to go out of my way to buy DS2 for my ps5 but ill definitely buy it when it inevitably comes to pc
