Enjoyable game. Definitely worth a buy on discount if you are into this type of game.

Only problems are small bug that show up rarely and some of the dialog.

In short it's a pretty good 4x game and for the the price it is definitely worth the buy.

The order system is really good at forcing you to make decisions because in war you will have to chose who moves and does what. Not the typical move every unit, attack with every unit and build everything. IMO this makes the game much more involved unlike in most 4x game where i move on autopilot.
The whole game centers on a specific age and not true the whole life span of humanity, hence the name. This might sound boring and dull at first but in reality this make for more interesting and balanced game. With the combination of limited order you can't just rush science and win or get that one more advanced unit and just steam roll with it. Also the typical problem of 4x of early and mid game being interesting and late game being slow and kinda boring is not as big in this game.
This game does have a few issues. The simple on being you have there is not enough pictures for the royal characters. If the families grow big enough you might just get 4-5 same looking guys but who are complete different stat wise and also relationship wise. You might just get confused and think you are fine while one of the 4 is making a rebellion against you.
The 2 worse problems are the discontent and character traits. Discontent is not global. Its local to each city and does not really depend on you leader (except like one trait). This make for kinda dumb scenarios were you are x the beloved and yet every city is rebelling against you. Further more the solution to this are higher on the tech tree unless you are going all in into religion. Traits are also weird. You can't directly control them or influence them beyond just doing it like a dog breeder. This can just make your playthrough go from fun to WTF why did my heir just lose all of his wisdom in 5 turns.

As the game is right now it is not worth the money at all.
1. Game is completely not ready for multiple/co-op - as far as understand the game is not hosted on player side but some time just kicks you out saying you lost connection while everyone in game is doing fine in a discord call. This can happen multiple times to the point you just rage quit the game. Also sometimes battles will just bug out and not work so you have to reload :)
2. Game has just awful balance - all the resources just scale too absurdly. Some cultures are just way better then others, while some are just completely useless. The civic system is just god awful.. you can have game where you get only ~5 civic options while in another game you can get all of them.. and this is, as far as i see, completely random. You can have culture that makes religion point but you get your religion later than a civ going money route. And good luck trying to drop a nuke before the game end :)
3. The main advertisement of this game was that you can can change your culture during the game play - rewrite your own human history. Well if you like your historical game to have an option to change your culture from being black to white to native american to asian in a single run then you will probably like this. For me personally it is a bit too jarring to go from Egyptian to Maya.. also have good luck trying to explain to friend what were you playing because the saying "I had this fun game where i played the French inquisition " doesn't really work.
*4. There is a system to create your won avatar that i don't really understand. Like what is the point of making your own character in a historical game. I want to play as some cool historical figure. I guess for some people this could be a positive if the like to send hours in character creation but i usually don't find these kinds of people playing 4X games. Honestly feels like wasted time on the dev side.
