One of the best sub sims I have ever played. Up there with the SH4 and SH3 tier.

Do you have a USB controller?
Do you have good internet?
If you have match all the requirments, this game is enjoyable, it's hours of fun and tons of cool looking screenshots... but if you don't have all of these things this game becomes clunky, bad keyboard support (atleast that is what I experianced), frame drops on lower end PC, and my PC has a EVGA 780 and a 3.5 GHz processor, 16 GBs of ram, yet I still experianced moments where my frames would drop to 20 or 30, and don't even get me started on the internet part. I experianced two things that made me upset. First thing is that the first MYcareer I started was offline, becuase at the time I did not realize you had to go to the very right and click connect, but my offline career had only half of the content of the full online career, not having VC, being unable to add accesories and tatoos, and extra clothing. Eventually I realized this and decided to switch to online. But here's the thing. All my progress I had made had been for nothings, I had even made it to the playoffs, now I had to restart everything. Now, I've never played any other generations of the 2k series beofre, BUT. from people I've talk to they say buying assecories and tatoos and other clothing, etc, had been in the singleplayr offline versions of the franchise. Also, if you're not connected to online, because let's say your internet cut off or something OR THE SHUT THE SERVERS OFF, and you decide to keep playing, it will revert it to an offline campaign and you will lose all your online progress.

TL:DR Don't buy this game if you don't match the requirments above, especially the internet one, but feel free to exclude the controller one, I may think it's bad because I wasn't using it correctly or something. ALTHOUGH, if you do meet the requirments, this game is bloody amazing.
