But in all actuality, in the 5 hours I've played, this game is genuinely the most fun I've had in a very long time, I'm not a very big fighting game guy, I'll occasionally play something like rivals of aether from time to time but nothing serious, but guilty gear xrd really got me into this stuff, didn't think it could get any better

except it did

i really like strive, graphics are just stellar, music is just banging, it might be dumbed down compared to previous installations to appeal to newer players, and I understand if you're mad at that, but it makes sense if they're gonna be supporting this game long-term if you really think about it. And I might be biased because I'm a new player myself but it just generally makes sense to make a game more accessible if they want to support it for a very long time. And it's not like the older games you love will go away anytime soon, they're still there, people will still play them, pretty much nothing will change.

Genuinely one of the most fun and infuriating games I've played so far, it's the perfect combination of easy enough for you to be able to beat regular rooms with not alot of trouble, and ball-ripping kick you down the stairs in a wheelchair hard enough to make you question why you even bother with life anymore. It's like eating the best lasagna of your life that has rusty screws in it, like yeah you're gonna die from blood loss in like half an hour, but hey, that was one damn good lasagna.

I didn't play this a lot but holy hell is it good, you barely even know what you're shooting at but you're barely ever gonna be shooting from a distance anyway because of the tiny corridors and spaces, the games extremely fast-paced and combined with the surreal and trippy graphics it makes you feel like you're constantly on acid. For just 2 bucks as of the sale and 2.50 without this is an absolute steal, I cannot reccomend this game enough.
