A pretty interesting game with its fair share of the good and the bad.

TL:DR, campaign is alright yet can be quite leisure. If you're looking for a more fast-paced action, this game isn't for you. Survival mode is fun in my opinion, even better with co-op friends. All and all, a RTS game with survival elements and a dark fantasy setting that is definitely worth checking out especially when it's on sale.

I've been a fan of Ace Combat games for many years now. Played almost their entire franchise/series. I could say back then, the games that they released for the PS1 and PS2 is a part of my childhood and adolescence. Used to replay Ace Combat 5 and Ace Combat Zero every chance I got, never grew bored of it.

Was wondering when they would release their next installment and then came Ace Combat 7. What excites me more is that despite not entirely related to the two games from the PS2, it brings back some nostalgia and good memory to see some of the memorable names, locations and other things that was carried over from the previous games.

For Ace Combat fans out there, I recommend you to buy and play this game.

+ Amazing soundtracks as always by Keiki Kobayashi
+ A variety of planes to choose from
+ A variety of upgrades for your weaponry, fighters and other parts
+ Story rich missions
+ Fun replayable, if you're trying to get those achievements. The challenge proves quite fun
+ No more weird dog fight mechanics like in AC: Assault Horizon

All and all, this game has a lot to offer, I just don't feel my review does it justice. If you're an Ace Combat fan, I really recommend you getting this game, be it at full price or when its on sale; that is entirely up to you. Although the DLC aside from the DLC missions, aren't really necessary for you to complete this game, but hey if you're a collector, why not.
