I put off playing this for forever, even though I know the devs of this game, because I'm really lazy sometimes at doing things people tell me to do. But at least now that I'm playing it on Steam I can leave this epic review and give them 2 dollars for the soundtrack :3

I cried 3 times because I'm a very emotional person who connects with stories about relationships and strong emotions, and that usually means I really liked something, which I did. Good game, peak yuri, cute art, and very fun to voice act in a VC with friends. Delia is also literally me fr

I mean this is literally free, 3 hours or less, and gay. That's like the perfect game, basically.

A Hat in Time is one of those games that never seems to lose its charm. When I first saw this game, I knew basically nothing about it, and I can't remember exactly why I wanted to get this game. Once I started playing it, however, I knew immediately what I loved about the game.
The dialogue and characters are charming and hilarious.
The platforming and movement is really precise and incredibly fun.
The character design is also really cute, and the music doesn't lack either.
It's really too bad how this game was overshadowed by Mario Odyssey, a similar 3D platforming hat-based game, soon after release, but there are definitely many differences. This game reminds me a lot of Super Mario Sunshine (mostly because of the happy looking graphics and the fact that you can walk on tightropes, as well as the "time rifts" which are basically just the secret shine levels type of concept), but it also gives me Undertale vibes, as well as its own vibe. I haven't neared completing the game yet, but I love it. Please play this game, it's good.

This is one of the best modern Sonic games. Not because of the story or the graphics, but because it's charming. The levels are a bit more open and have a few different paths sometimes. If you don't like games with boosting, then this is a great 3d game that also has a modding community that allows you to improve the graphics and revert them to the original Dreamcast alternatives. It actually looks really good.
