I'm loving it. The big complaint from people is performance. I guess I got lucky as it is about what I would expect out of my system. It's a shame so many others are having problems though.

The game itself is a blast. Truly directed chaos. The fps side of things has never been better. I'm zipping around with 4 guns, stuff's blowing up everywhere, blood is spraying all over. It's pretty sick. As far as the rpg element it's hard to give an honest answer. Thirty hours of it feels spot on so far but it will take a full playthrough and some end game to really have an informed opinion on it. Graphically it's a gem. I love the cell shaded look this time around and what I've seen of the map has been very cool. I also find it funny without being irritating. They toned it down a bit to where the jokes are more snarky and sarcastic than in-your-face immaturity, though a small amount of the latter has been preserved.

So far a great game.

On another note, I personally think Pitchford is hilarious. give that guy the mic more please.

As it stands I'd say Borderlands 4 is a legit blockbuster of a game. BL4 is a real AAA game, not an admission pass to a shopping mall, not a quarter of a game with a promise of more in two months, it's the real deal. Hats off to the folks at Gearbox, you guys made a banger.

When considering the $5 price point this game is an easy 10/10.

Maniac is basically a hybrid of early/top-down Grand Theft Auto games and Vampire Survivors. It's really a brilliant little combination. Don't expect anything too deep here. Maniac is the culmination of some crude cartoon humor, an addictive/mindless gameplay loop, and a little harmless mass slaughter of the average passerby. It makes for the perfect check out after a long day of work.

Having a blast so far. To counter the naysayers I say Overwatch wasn't entirely original either. Team Fortress 2 came before it as well as traditional top down MOBAs which were a major influence. However when Overwatch released it significantly upped the ante on TF2 and the rest is history.

The question is does Rivals upgrade the hero shooter experience enough to become the new king of the genre? Well that's hard to say. Comparing this to OW which has had a near decade to evolve (devolve) isn't really a 1:1 affair. I would say comparing this launch to OW's launch is fair though and in that regard, yes, I think Rivals brings enough new wrinkles to the formula to be fairly considered "upping the ante".

First off it is launching with a huge roster of 32 characters. This are 32 characters everyone on the planet already knows. You know Wolverine is a brawler. You know Punisher has a machine gun etc. That is huge alone not only to attract an audience but to make it feel very "pick up and play".

As for the game-play; The maps are very good however there needs to be more of them. The destructible areas are a nice touch as well. I haven't played every character yet but I've gotten a good handle on Iron Man and have been having a lot of fun flying around blowing ♥♥♥♥ up. The other ones I've tried have seemed workable enough I just need more time with them. The team-up mechanic (or whatever the ♥♥♥♥ it's called) is also cool. There are buffs for playing Avengers with Avengers and Spiders with Spiders etc.

Graphically it is way ahead of anything in it's category. Performance scales well which is nice for the low end machines. Turn off Lumen if you don't have a 4090. It's a PvP game. You will drop frames with ray-tracing (lumen) on, turn it off.

Money-tits-ation is a cluster. There are more currencies in this game than irl Europe I think. It seems confusing at first glance but price wise once you break it down it is much better than CoD or Overwatch per item. Plus the game is entirely free to play. All characters are unlocked from the get go. Most of whom's default skins look pretty good.

As far as being a Marvel product I think it excels. Without going into tons of detail i'll just say I'm a huge comic book enthusiast (giant nerd) and I feel NetEase has done an excellent job handling this. Voices are spot on. Skins are good as mentioned. And the team-up mechanic is a great way to get "lore-friendly' teams on the field as well. I'd like to see some more maps from different locations though. New York is an obvious one. Xavier's Mansion I hope for as well. Savage Lands, Shi'ar Empire, you could go on and on. There are no shortage of great locations to work with.

As far as complaints I don't have a ton. Balance and such is going to take time to cook as millions of gamers attempt top break the game repeatedly and find cheap ways to win. I originally had issues with audio until I saw all the sliders for different channels such as "voice lines" or "healing received". The options given here are awesome. Every chanel has it's own volume slider. This should become the standard for eSport type games. I still think the default levels are terrible though (Razr Blackshark 2). I'm writing this at 15 hours. I'm sure I'll find something to hate sooner than later but so far smooth sailing.

On a personal note I have played 8000+ hours of Overwatch over the years and am a huge comic book enthusiast (giant nerd) so this game was either going to be a complete blast for me or huge disappointment. So far I'm going with the former. Good job NetEase. Now go get that Xavier's mansion map together. Preferably with some sort of functioning Danger Room.

Postal is a Top 10 film for me. I am not being sarcastic about this in the least. It is utterly trashy, classless and offensive. The acting on display is intentionally questionable, the plot is absurd, and the humor is entirely harsh. For a cast you have the guy who played the bully in Christmas Story, all grown up. He plays the Postal Dude. There is the main weirdo from Kids In the Hall (at least he's not in a dress this time). And to top it all off, the biggest star of them all, the midget who played Mini-Me in Austin Powers (God rest his soul). Basically an all-star ensemble of nobodies. The perfect group for a film which features Bin Laden, heads on sticks, hot chicks in a sex cult and also featuring possibly the most disgusting sex scene in a non-pornog movie ever. In all sincerity Postal as a movie is up there with the Troma classics. It is trash, it is punk, it is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad it's spectacular. Just like the game it is based on.

Do yourself a favor; Set a projector on your exterior back trailer wall, get yourself a 12 pack, two crack rocks, call over your fat girlfriend and watch Uwe Boll's masterpiece of toxic cinema.

As a bonus you get Uwe Boll fighting some critics in boxing matches to watch. It's hilarious. Almost as funny as the movie. These people get in the ring and then chicken out. Only that's not how boxing works, there's a bell (lol).

I love the simplicity of this series. There's bad-guys and you shoot them. There's not 50 different flowers to pick or 99,000 things to craft in order to get a gun that works. There's no meta I need to follow half of youtube to understand. There's bad-guys and I shoot them. It's a real video game. Remember those?

It seems ok. It's hard to tell. There's so much RGB in this room I can hardly see the screen.
