Feel/Handling
Feels good to drive. FFB reminiscent of rFactor 2, and personally very pleasant for G29. Unfortunately clips horrendously on some curbs and patches of grass/dirt. Handling characteristics also in the rFactor 2/LMU area, but with heavier car feel.
I'm genuinely positively surprised.

Content
Mostly GT3 focused currently with few GT4's. Two LMDh prototypes. Handful of modern tracks fitting both modern prototype endurance and GT. Multi-class racing is supported.

Monetization
Game is free and tracks are free, with the exception of Nordschleife. Cars need purchasing with currency that is only obtainable with real money. It seems they have a rotation of a bundle of free cars. I personally think the business model here is pretty good. You can get the game running and join the popular lobbies without spending a single penny, with a free car always available to use. The cars are a bit on the pricey side, given it's an early access title.

Graphics
Another Unreal Engine title. Blurry and smeary in motion with awful aliasing. You need to throw a lot of pixels at this mess to make it look decent. Higher framerates will also help. RTX 2070 should get you minimum 60FPS, 1440p at medium settings on an empty track. DLSS on quality setting should give you the best performance and clarity.
Car models and track quality is good.

Sound
Only tried handful of cars. Car sounds so far are good.

Weather
Day/night cycle supported on some tracks. Currently there's only dry weather with a default clear/light cloud preset.

AI
No AI. Given the time and effort it takes to get good AI, it's probably better without - given the focus for eSport.


Ending Notes
It's hard to define who this sim is for. Because at the time it's mostly just another GT3 sim, where most GT3 fans would settle for ACC, and now also Le Mans Ultimate.

As the game is in early access, and currently lacking features and content, it's a hard sell to make this anyone's primary sim. But as it is a free game, feels good to drive, and a lot of the content open to try in very accessible matchmaking - why not? It's probably the easiest way to get racing with a friend that is not looking to spend on a sim.

Bugs and crashes aside, it did say early access on the product. This could however be resolved through some open/closed beta testing before release..

We could refer to this as rFactor 2.5, but to be fair I see this more as an expansion. No other sim has access to this package of content with as much quality consistency. At a measly €30, it's very good value. iRacing would charge you €250 for the content alone, and that's excluding subscription.

Should you buy?
If you like prototype cars and/or GT racing with reduced driving assists.
You want software with realistic physics that takes maximum advantage of your expensive hardware.
You are okay with testing a buggy and unstable product.

I like it

Many pet peeves, especially in multiplayer.
If only it was given additional work through continued support I'd happily consider it a GOAT racing sim-cade. But we got Project CARS 3 instead! :)

Good addition to the base game. Rough launch, but can only get better from here.

Good value for base game. Don't need DLC to join lobbies with DLC tracks, which is massive value.
"Racin´ USA Pack Pt1" highly recommended DLC. Three GTE cars including a prototype car, the Cadillac DPi.
