A cute adventure game that holds some dark surprises as you uncover its backstory. The game's comedy includes modern references that likely won't hold up in 10-20 years, but it lands well and is not overbearing. Graphics and audio fit the retro, top-down style well. The post-game roguelike mode adds replayability. Controller recommended.

A short walk through a creepy environment. The story and control explanations are in broken English. There are ambient noises, but no music. The flashlight is needed for everything because the whole game is too dark to see otherwise.

A simple, yet challenging, puzzle game featuring 50 levels. Music is relaxing, but repetitive.

Volume and brightness controls, as well as unlockable color schemes, are welcome features that show a level of care that's often overlooked in small indie puzzle games.

300 simple chess puzzles. The UI is limited and the ambient music is relaxing. There's no penalty for mistakes and you can revisit puzzles at any time.

You roll a cube around three maps to try to color the most ground in one minute. Boring gameplay, repetitive music, and plain graphics hinder replayability. Settings are limited and the AI is bad.

The developer also raised the price from $2 to $25, so their 90% off sales cost more than the original full price.

I didn't expect much, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's a simple, relaxing, Tetris-like game where you merge matching balls without overflowing the container. The music and graphics are cute, and the controls are smooth. There's only one mode, but it's surprisingly fun.

My wife isn't a gamer, but when I showed this game to her, she took my laptop and played for two hours straight. If that's not a solid endorsement for a casual game, I don't know what is.

You move around a small, dark maze, hunting a pentagon. No end goal, saves, or even a way to know how many pentagons you've collected in single-player mode. Music is peaceful. Graphics are very simple. Only vs mode is entertaining, but can feel unfair due to randomness.

Hangover is a very short point and click game where you get ready for work. The store page description claiming that it's "a story rich adventure" is simply false advertising. You click random objects in 9 small rooms, and that's basically the whole game. The game is mostly silent aside from basic UI sounds, but there is one song that will play if a certain easter egg is discovered. The graphics aren't pretty, but are reminiscent of 90's adventure games.

Suite 776 is a short, but finely crafted, first-person horror game. Audio cues and jump scares feel appropriate and aren't overused. Multiple endings make it worth replaying. There's no save functionality, but that's by design.

A clever point-and-click puzzle game. The well-balanced difficulty, macabre elements, and interesting puzzles make it a worthwhile addition to the Cube Escape series.
