If you expect something from the Arkham Games, don't buy. This has nothing to do with those games story wise, and is an alternate adaption of Batman. It does take some inspiration from the Arkham Games in some of its mechanics, but with a twist to reach its own style.
I feel like a lot of the mechanics in this game are misunderstood, like the hero-specific traversal. You may think it's the best traversal method, but I actually find it more useful for when I'm in combat, and I feel like this is the true idea behind it. Then I use the bike for long distance and grapple for medium distance to get around in the open-world.

Overall, I'm having a blast with combat as well. Should you be concerned about combat, I suggest reading up on the "timed strikes" mechanic, this is inspired by the Arkham Games and both increases speed, damage and the resource gain used for special abilities. Nail this mechanic, and you can do some cool ass ♥♥♥♥.
No easy-parry mechanic like Arkham, instead you have a 2x combo for a counter-attack = perfect-dodge + perfect-attack.

The progression system is cool, I'm having a hard time choosing between the four heroes, but favorites are Nightwing and Red-Hood. The skill-trees makes you think of what abilites to chose, since you can't get enough AP for all three trees, which I think is great. Lot's of things to do in Gotham as well, I personally feel like the city is alive filled with crimes and mysteries.

Needs optimization like a lot of people are mentioning though, not unplayable I think, still I would recommend staying away from ray-tracing unless you want to play the console-version of the game. :)
My settings are set to max at 1440p with DLSS at balanced and no RT, average FPS 80-100. I do experience drops down to 50, during traversal with the bike so it is clear to see some update(s) are needed here because this is not okay. But still, I'm enjoying the game a lot.

It's been a while since I've had so much fun in the game.
Dishonored with a twist of steroids, and with the rougelite elements you've got a really good recipe for a game.

Could use a patch or two, for optimization no doubt, but with an 5900x and 3080 I get 80-120 fps, 2k and very high settings (rt included)

Would still definitely recommend!!!

Nominating this game for "I'M NOT CRYING, THERE'S SOMETHING IN MY EYE" award, since I don't want people to know the hurt the devs have brought me since release.
