The game and it's mechanics is amazing, besides a lof of technical issues and some of the conquest impossible random resources (often even in normal difficulty the AI gets a tons more food than the player) causing some headache. But if you would fix the lag in late games, that would just make this one of the greatest hits ever for me.

Simply Brilliant.

After 30h of playing this game it really worth a review. In the beginning not a single big publisher was interested in this masterpiece, cuz noone was expecting it will be a shot. Well, a big point to the developers for keeping this game updated all the time.

There was not such a lot of game recently where I finished the campaign and didn't uninstall it. Now New Colossus suck me in for more and more and more to do there.
