I DO love the design, lore and concept in general; but the game oscillates too much between a boring repetitive base builder and hectic unpredictable action when zombie swarms arrive. Too little intel is available on what's going to hit you next; and if you are caught not sufficiently prepared, most likely you will lose.
RPG missions are neat.

Almost no end game content.
You will be engaged in never-ending manual transactions to steady the flow of resources. No way of automatically exchange or sell your surplus even with established trade partners.
No distinction between different kinds of contamination / pollution - it's always radiation and a bloody outhouse will produce radiation as well and irradiate your settlers.

Too repetitive, too boring, no lore about the world, no interesting story.

An amazing work made by true Gothic series fans. My deepest respect for them.

An interesting game; but the challenge subsides sharply after ~1/3 of the game.
There is very little to do in the last third of it. There are literally no reasons in growing your settlement above 300 settlers; but the game urges you to do it through different quests like building more housing and accepting refugees.

It's a great game - so much variability and the world seems to be ALIVE. Since it's in early access it also holds a lot of promise.
Also the game gives me the Wheel of Time vibes.
