Early Access Review
If you've played Terraria, Starbound, Minecraft, or other games in this genre than Core Keeper will feel relatively familiar to you. But it's interesting how different this game feels when it's basically the same thing but with an isometric viewpoint. I'm enjoying it, and despite early access have not encountered any bugs.

Simple game, shouldn't take too long. Probably would work better on a touch screen than with a mouse as a few of the mechanics just didn't seem to work properly at first leading me to think that certain things weren't possible (couldn't drag a few elements, couldn't spin a few others... etc...) Aside from the mouse control issues though, I had quite a good time with this game.

There's just not enough game here. As others have said, it feels like it's missing quite a bit and should have been released as early access. The colony sim, strategy, and survival aspects just don't feel like they are there. Instead it plays more like a city builder.

I probably took longer on this than most people will considering that I didn't really try to 100% it, and was mostly focused on playing through the story to the end. Fascinating game with a few glitches I hope the devs will iron out soon (they are still supporting it). It has quite a charm to it and feels very unique among survival games. There's a fair bit of jump scare that can occur, but it really feels like the game tries to give you audible cues and let you know when bad things are about to happen... so I end up always feeling silly when I jump out of my chair :)

Not a bad game so far, though I haven't finished it yet. Overall I'm finding the platforming to be more gimicky than in previous games in the series, and for me at least I'm having a lot of trouble getting Lara to jump where I want her to, resulting in many pointless deaths. Even with the puzzle difficulty turned up, the primary issues I've had seem to be finding things in an environment that is just too dark, even with heavy gamma correction.

Also the underwater bits are just not fun.

Aside from those difficulties I'm enjoying it. The story is interesting as usual and the graphics/vistas are more impressive than the previous entries in this series.

Beautiful game, reminescent of Ori and the Blind Forest, or Child of Light. Perhaps not as complex as those, but with an artistic flair. Some of the puzzles were actually a bit challenging to figure out, which is a refreshing change for modern games.

Would have loved to play it, unfortunately controls are so bad on the keyboard that after 30 minutes trying to get out of the tutorial level, I just gave up.
