Enjoy the game simple as.

Adds more complexity to diplomacy which I appreciate greatly. Victoria 3 is one of the greatest games of all time and I thank Paradox for adding more content that expands all aspects of the game. Great job guys.

I don't understand how people can give this a negative rating. After looking at all the reviews it seems like it's because of the combat system from Victoria 2. It really is a shame such an amazing simulator is being dragged down because it is being compared to it's predecessor in such a heavy degree.

Really, to everyone who gives this a negative rating - would you rather not have Victoria 4 exist at all? Because with your nitpicking blinded attitude you are guaranteeing that we will not see a fourth game in this series by scaring off new players with the "mixed" rating. Take a step back and look at the bigger picture of things. Paradox has heard about the combat being an issue since the game released... do you really believe they could have revamped the entire game to allow Victoria 2 combat? Ridiculous.

We should show respect to one of the few developers who IS able to create such grand experiences otherwise we will be left with second hand historical games that cannot hold a candle to the world Paradox is able to build. Godspeed my brothers.

PLAY THE GAME

EASILY the greatest RPG that I have played in a very long time. I wouldn't refer to this as a rogue-like really but it has some aspects... like dying all the time to something you didn't see. Though I wouldn't call that a negative thing to be fair because without it would take away from the overall setting (at least at the beginning).

As a new player I don't want to act like I know alot about Elin BUT I can tell it's going to be one of the greats next to Dwarf Fortress, Factorio, Rimworld and the rest. Games of passion and freedom - made for players BY players, truly.

The game is great and very playable if you have a rig that can handle it.

Some rounds are very intense with you sitting and watching for sometime planning your moves. Tanks will roll in and destroy some of the smaller troops and then a large mech will obliterate them. Troops will come and go from different positions allowing you to scour the area once everyone has been wiped out or moved forward. When you actually HAVE to fire your weapon it is a rush of intensity, a major risk, and gives you a small feeling of power (that can be taken away in an instant).

When the sun goes down you'll just be trying to make it through without a horde of zombie like creatures attacking you. Battlefields change from a warzone to a body retrieval operation with massive mounds of the dead piled up. The changing of the zones when this happens is horrifying.

This game isn't for everyone and it's in a very early state of build, but everything is here for you to have fun. Sometimes you just gotta relax and let the devs do their thing. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.

Really enjoying the formula they have put together. Very fun and engaging systems of play.
