Receiver, in my opinion, is quite an underrated game.

I am, unfortunately, a gun nut, so maybe this game is a bit more enjoyable for me. But this game is underrated imo.

When you get put into the game, you'll start off with one of three possible handguns. The Glock, 1911 or a revolver. Initially, you'll realise the controls are a bit hard to get used to. Several different controls for different functions, such as pulling the slide back or checking the chamber.

In an hour or two's time, you'll find that you will barely need the help (which you can get by pressing '?', advanced help is holding '?') anymore. You'll also find yourself carefully treading through the map, taking out each bot that you come across quite easily, until one of those damned flying bots get you.

There is also a backstory to this game; you pick up tapes and you listen to tips and stories behind the bots and what is real and what isn't. Then, there is also the thing about ammo. I have seen several reviews complaining about ammo; except I never found myself, not even once, in a situation where I have no ammo and am surrounded by enemies. There are many bullets lying about; you just have to look really carefully in corners and under, on top or inside objects. You'll also find yourself properly conserving ammo and knowing which part of the bots to shoot in order to deactivate them.

Unfortunately, you die if you get hit even once by anything at all.

The realism this game brings is quite astounding, and eventually I became a gunslinger against bots. On record it shows 1.9 hours, but I played more than that. My computer had a meltdown while I was playing it (because I have a not-so-good laptop) and the game accounted to me only 9 minutes of playtime, which, of course, is incorrect.

This game is pretty good in general, however, the price is a little bit high. I got it for free on Humble Bundle (also the way I found out about the game). Might not be worth your time if you are into fast-paced action shooting games like Call of Duty.

Every. Shot. Counts.

Don't Starve is a game full of content you wouldn't expect at all. I first got it in its beta and my first impressions were in the 'holy sh*t' range. Don't Starve is very special in its own way, such that everything needs experimenting. You'll never know what's helpful or harmful, or what's neutral and hostile until you first interact with them. The fun part about this game is the aspect of not knowing what does what, and it all comes down to whether you're gutsy enough to face a big-un monster or hide at your campsite everyday, refusing to gather materials you need. The constant worry about this and that in this game makes you stay alert at all times, and prepare for whatever may come. This game is truly a treasurable experience to keep, and will probably be more action-packed than you'd imagine. You will often be lost, but being lost is one of the many stunning things this game will do to you. For the price of 15 USD, it is truly worth every penny. It's not just surviving, it's an adventure in its own.

Personally, this is one of my favourite games of all time, with a very high replay value, because it won't get old for months to come. I highly recommend it, you'll regret it if you don't get this game!

Also, on your journey you'll most probably find a little furry friend; in ways you'd never imagine it to look like. This is one of my favourite things about this game, actually!
