Unoriginal game that borrows massively from other MMOs (or video games) by a company who abuses its employees (certified amazon moment). Conan exiles, WOW and ESO are the primary examples of borrowed elements used, and just feels like one big recycled MMO.

Trades are effectively professions from WoW. Mobility and attribute system is extremely reminiscent of conan exiles, and the combat features are clearly derived from ESO. I also see many other people refer to this game as a Runescape sequel if the point hasn't gotten across. Sure, some people might find this content fun and refreshing, especially if they've not played these games before, but to us who love mmo, it's just very disappointing. I could go on to list even more things that I noticed that were borrowed, but my review would just be an eyesore by then.

"WhY dO yOu PlaY thE GaME iF yOu haTe iT so MuCH", because it's all my friends want to play and i literally have nothing else to do.

Also, to further piggy back on the absolute mess this game is; server maintenance is scheduled INTERNATIONALLY, which might not sound so bad until you realise you work a 9-5 job and only have free time in the late afternoon just to realise you can't play the game because there is a 4 hour maintenance during your country's peak time (australian's went crazy stupid on the forums).

You would also think that one of the richest companies in the world would be able to better host their own servers, but the debut of New World clearly demonstrated they did not think ahead prior to release date. On the first time I tried to play, I was 70th in the queue and silly little me thought ''oh that's not so bad!''. I got to 20th in queue before it was time for me to sleep after 3 hours of waiting.

Yes, I'm still going to play the game because I have nothing to do. Doesn't mean the game isn't any less ♥♥♥♥.

i like this game, it has it's quirks but it feels like there is so much going on at once at certain points, especially just after receiving new equipment, you just get bombarded with elaborate puzzles when you're still trying to learn what it even does

other than that though, it has a lot of content especially for it's value and some decent jokes thrown in there so i'd definitely suggest it if you want a boredom killer

On a base game level, it's really enjoyable but I think it still has a little while to go. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but there doesn't seem to be much indication on what I need to do to progress in the story without having to search up answers (I'm trying my best not to so that I can enjoy it for what it's worth). I also had a bit of an immersion ruining bug that has lowered my motivation to play as my Seamoth and Cyclops were bugged (Cyclops fixed, had to scrap the seamoth though).

Even with those in mind, Subnautica is good and it's one of those solo coop games that has a lot of interesting elements to it to keep it engaging. There are not many open world survival games anymore and it's always nice to see one that's made it into the mainstream.

Early Access Review
Great thriller game rather than a horror.

I love the suspense in it all. There's a perfect balance between jumpscare to gameplay ratio, and the fact it lays out more like a psychological makes it significantly better.

The ambience of the game is intense, and when combined with the labyrinth design, makes turning each corner of the map all the more terrifying. The lighting has this almost calm feeling, and that juxtaposition alongside the feeling of constant dread adds to the feeling so much.

Playing with mates just enhances the experience especially if you're cowardly like me. You'll be walking through one section of the maze together, and you've suddenly been cut off by an obstacle, and you have to face your fear and continue through the map alone until you can finally regroup.

The design of each level is different enough from the other to make it consistently entertaining throughout. Each puzzle is cleverly made, and finding clues on how to solve it generally are what give you the best scares.

Masterfully designed so far, look forward to seeing what else is added in the future.
